Hola Amigos!!!! Thank you for choosing Santiago as your holiday destination. I am Myriam and I have been working in the field of tourism since 1999 (hotels, restaurants and travel agencies) but I always wanted to be a tour guide. I made my dream come true in 2007, falling in love with my country, my city, its history and its charming and cute places. I also have been leading groups through Chile and Argentina. I am 100% Chilean and I have lived my entire life in Santiago but traveled abroad and through Chile extensively. I would be honored to have the opportunity to introduce my homeland to you. I love welcoming foreigners to the country I love so much and the city where I grew up. I like to share my knowledge about history, wine, people and culture. I will show Santiago and its surrounding areas with tours that I offer, as well as customized tours, tailored to meet your needs, both with a view as a local would see it. Including less crowded places - off the beaten path whenever possible. Since I will share so many stories, maps and images with you I prefer to hire a driver for our private van so I can focus on travelers, also it will give us more time and independence because we don´t need to look for parking space or go back to the same place where the car is parked, the driver will pick us up wherever we need as much as possible. Do you want to learn why are we called the British of South America? Why do we have a sweet tooth? Why people of almost every Latin American country make fun of the Chilean spanish? I invite you to learn this and much more with interesting and juicy stories of Chile. I am looking forward to meeting you in Santiago to give you the most unforgettable travel experience. NO excuses, come with me and enjoy my favorite city in Chile. Valparaiso is an old port with a lot of history, eclectic architecture and street art, a lot a street art. Art galleries, restaurants, coffee places and much more. Valparaiso is not a perfect city but that is the beauty of the city. Don´t expect to see a modern city or a village right on the coastline, it is just an old port but it has a lot to see. During this day we can include a museum such as: - "La Sebastiana" museum of Pablo Neruda. Neruda is a poet of Chile and won the Nobel price of Literature in 1971 but his house is not just his house, it is a poem dedicated to valparaiso, narrow stairs, colorful decoration and weird shape. - Immigrant museum: it is a cultural center located at the old german private school, dedicated to the groups of immigrant arrived after 1820 who help to develope the city and created a rich history. If museums are closed we can visit some other less known neigborhoods in the city
- Pick up from a hotel in Santiago (not near the airport) - Drive crossing Curacavi (agricultural valley) and Casablanca (wine district) to get to the Port - Valparaiso what we will see: Congress in Chile, Prat Pier, Sotomayor main square, the most iconic places such as Alegre and Concepcion hill where we visit, Paseo Yugoeslavo, Paseo Atkinson, art galleries in the area, street art everywhere and much more. - Time for lunch during the day. - Time to visit a museum Since I will share so many stories, maps and images with you I prefer to hire a driver for our private van so I can focus on travelers, also it will give us more time and independence because we don´t need to look for parking space or go back to the same place where the car is parked, the driver will pick us up wherever we need as much as possible. - Drive back to Santiago and end of services in a hotel in Santiago
