Evelyn's food tour sets the gold standard among such food tours I've experienced around the world. She has a wonderful and enthusiastic personality and her English was superb. A country's food is intertwined with its history, culture and social makeup and not only did I experienced a generous sampling of food, I came away with an appreciation of Chilean history and culture and I enjoyed learning about it as we walked through the markets and explored the city. Pick up at my hotel was effortless and the van was new and clean and the entire day spent with Evelyn was fun and unfolded seamlessly from location to location and I really felt quite pampered (especially after spending a week in the cold photographing the Patagonia!). By the way, during the tour I had the best empanadas I've ever had piping hot from the oven. I would certainly recommend this tour without hesitation for any visitor to Santiago and my advice is to skip breakfast on the morning of the tour because there will be a lot of food!

Just finished a fantastic day touring some of the primary sights and exceptional Chilean native foods available in Santiago. Ms. Evelyn is a knowledgeable and charming guide. Juan, the driver, transported us safely and in comfort between the areas we visited. Ms. Evelyn has an extensive knowledge of local dishes and knows where to go to sample the best versions. We went to at least six specialist restaurants to make sure we had the highest quality versions of these dishes. The Pastel de Choclo was exceptional. We also saw the city and surrounding Andes Mountains from the top of Cerro San Cristobal. The 100 year old funicular got us up and the cable car safely down. The Mote con huesillo beverage was perfect to enjoy while looking out over this fascinating city. I highly recommend Ms. Evelyn’s tour to anyone interested in Chilean food and Santiago culture.

Evelyn was bright, cheerful, informative and a pleasure to spend a day with. She made good suggestions and put together a customized itinerary that accomplished exactly what we wanted to see and do in Santiago.

Evelyn is amazing. We had a scheduling glitch caused by our trip planning and she was still able to make our tour happen. She provides a great tour of Santiago and its cultural assets. She found a wonderful lunch spot. It was just like travelling with friend.

Evelyn planned a perfect day for us. She was our guide on New Year's Day so most things were closed. Nevertheless, she gave us a wonderful tour of downtown Santiago. She also took us to a beautiful winery outside of Santiago, and we had one of our best meals in over 2 weeks of traveling. After lunch we enjoyed a tour of the winery. She got us back to our hotel in time to get ready for our flight back to the United States. Her driver was excellent too. We highly recommend Evelyn!

Informative, entertaining, and delicious. Evelyn and her driver Claudio both knew Santiago and its food traditions and trends! They were knowledgeable and helpful beyond the tour itself by offering restaurant suggestions that were really good and even advice about our next stop in Valparaiso. They both have terrific senses of humor. By the end of our eight hour tour, Evelyn was still energetic as during the first hour, and on parting, we felt we were saying goodbye to a dear friend. Highly recommended.
