Cooking with the Chef

A perfectly wonderful evening with Tatán. He picked us up exactly on time and took us to his beautiful apartment overlooking an 18-hole golf course in the heart of Santiago. It was only the two of us, so we had a great conversation with a man of interesting and varied background as an int'l business exec, restaurant owner, translator and tour guide. Started with oysters and fine Chilean wines. Moved to the kitchen to do the chopping and mixing for cheviche and the entry, pastel de choco. Well worth price

My niece and I had a wonderful time cooking with Tantan at his home. The food and drinks were fantastic. We learned a great deal about local cuisine and spent a lovely evening on his balcony overlooking the city. His English was exceptional and he shared a lot about his life and family. We highly recommend taking one of his cooking classes or booking a tour with him. It was an absolute treat!

This is a truly fun cooking class, but at moments you think you're simply invited to your friends home snd your just helping out. It's fantastic to feel so comfortable. chef Tatan's functional kitchen is definitely a help and his enormous apartment with a super size terrace overlooking the city and Andes mountains is a huge surprise. We learned some great dishes like ceviche and Pastel de choclos "meat corn pie".

What a fantastic evening! Cristian has an amazing apartment and he is a tremendous host. We had a great time talking, laughing, and cooking with him. The food was excellent (especially the ceviche). This was a wonderful tour and we would highly recommend it!

Cooking with Chef Cristian was the most fun I've had on any tour I've ever taken! He was not only a witty and engaging conversationalist, but he gave me hands-on experience making ceviche and empanadas. It was truly a fantastic way to get an introduction to Chilean culture and cuisine. I would highly recommend this tour!

"WOW" best describes this tour! Charming host, and we prepared our dinner with the chef. Excellent opportunity and instruction to prepare ... Cevice and Empanadas. We especially enjoyed cooking in his apartment, dining "al fresco" and enjoying the views from his balcony on the 12th floor. By the way, his dog "Delores" is a wonderful companion and very kind to "strangers" visiting her master. You cannot go wrong with booking this tour -we have made more than 50 tours in various cities around the world.
