Many of my family members lived outside of Chile, so trips and tours have always been part of my life, and I developed a personal interest about both the world and other countries since I was a child. When I studied journalism in college, I was able to explore a little bit more about our history and the reasons behind our development, those that led Chile to be the way it is, and me the way I am. But these studies also gave me the initiative to travel and explore on my own. I love sharing part of my time visiting places abroad, and and showing the places and activities that travelers want to visit in Chile! In a country with a large selection of landscapes and cultures, most of the trips start or finish in Santiago, a place that can used as a starting point for many day tours or activities too. I can assure you that with my 25 years of experience as a tour guide and a host to foreign travelers in Chile, this truly is a place that you can visit, learn, and enjoy. That is something that still happens to me and I would like to share why! Journalism in UDP University Tour Guide Diploma - Universidad de Chile Wine Tourism Diploma - UTC University Sommelier Academy Level 1 and 2 Certified Tour Guide Registered in National Tourism Service SERNATUR Member of Santiago's Professional Tour Guide Association APGT Chilean Red Cross First Aid Certification Courses and updates in Latin American Archeology and Arts in Precolumbian Art Museum Courses and updates in History, Architecture and Heritage in National Historical Museum 25 years working as tour guide in Chile and its wine industry. To offer the best security and quality standards, I don´t drive in my tours. So I always include an appropriate vehicle with a driver to meet tour requirements.

The city of Santiago is in Chile's Central Valley, next to the Andes Mountains, near the Pacific Ocean, only separated by the Coastal Range with the Curacavi & Casablanca Valleys. With a plurality of landscapes, each area in the country has developed their own personality and activities specific to them, from mining to agriculture. This can explain why Chile has doubled its efforts in certain areas that are globally renowned, like beaches and vineyards! On this tour, you'll get to taste smooth, elegant wines produced in the nearby valleys, plus we'll explore the hills of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar's beaches, as I help you unveiling our history along the way. Since we'll cover landscapes with altitudes, winds and clouds may give us a wide array of climates in a short distance within the same day! You'll also enjoy the chance of choosing from an assorted selection of seafood restaurants with ocean views for lunch. When we return to Santiago, you'll realize how many beauties are less than 80 miles around!
·I'll pick you up from your hotel or agreed starting point in the morning in a modern, fully equipped vehicle. ·We'll depart from Santiago in Chile's Central Valley across the Coastal Range. Where we have Curacavi with its agricultural activities. We will also go through Casablanca Valley, famous for its fine cool climate wines. Either now or on our way back, we may enjoy a glass of its great wines. ·After going across the forests on the slopes, we arrive to Valparaiso. A city built on the hills that surround the port, we'll go directly into its historical downtown. ·I'll share lots of stories as we drive along the way, until we proceed to take a funicular to reach to some viewpoints of the bay area. ·Afterwards, you can decide to take a break for lunch in Valparaiso or wait until we reach Viña del Mar next (your choice). ·On arrival to Viña del Mar, we'll enjoy a nice walk along the beaches where we will be able to see Valparaiso from the other side of the bay. Return to Santiago.
