I was born in Barcelona, and lived in Valencia Spain for my first years . My dad was a true englishman and mother from Chile, which makes me a eclectic mut ! As a child lived first in Honduras, but by the age of 7 was in the UK for the next six years , first in Islington London and then Hastings, east Sussex (boarding school ), that's where I got a distinct fluent english , which makes me easily understood and sets me apart from most of my piers with heavy south american accents. . Finally Argentinal would be my last stop , finishing secundary school years in a english boarding school , near the city of Cordoba, La Cumbre, saint Paul's school. In 1990 my parents decided to settle in Santiago de Chile , maybe the recovery of democracy helped in this crucial decision. After studying hotel administration in Santiago I became a flight attendant for then Lan Chile , for almost four years. I was then introduced into receptive tourism by a friend who knew well the industry , I knew from getgo, it was going to be my bag. I enjoy showing the diversity of my country , with rich culture, history and traditions, and also appreciate meeting different walks of life. Like wine , I believe in doing things with passion and dedication, including detailed customized tours , restaurant or vineard reservations, , in high season and many other small but crucial details that in the end, make a unforgetable and memorable experience. With more than 25 years in the trade, I feel confident providing quality time, making sure to meet clients needs and avoiding when possible tourist traps. Hotel and restaurant administration, at CET, Centro de estudios turisticos. First aid course. Pre -columbian cultures course, at pre-columbian museum. Professional driver's license . 23 years experience as a tour guide in central Chile for companies like Travel Art, South American Tours , DMC (destination management chile) , which caters cruises , or Upscape , among others. Flight attendant for then Lan Chile for almost four years, flying from Santiago to New York, Miami, L.A. or Madrid and most south american capitals , incuding Easter Island in the middle of the Pacific. No restrictions.

The valley of Aconcagua valley , is among Chile's oldest red wine producers and first table grape fruit exports. Famous aristocrat Maximiano Errazuriz from late 1880's. first to notice its exceptional terroir and potential , producing exquisite cabs , Carmener and cab.Franc and petit verdot for blends. A valley that has all the right conditions : aluvial soil, long sunny summers , hi luminosity days with cool nights , also west winds come from the Pacific creating a soothing afternoon cool breeze wind corridor and thus avoiding fungus and other pests. Errazuriz, Escorial , Ed Flaherty or viña Von Siebenthal wineries focus on full bodied reds , tipically velvet rounded tannins and silky balanced wines with excellent storage potential. This valley also produces high quality fruit , considered the first fruit exporter in the 1920s. including different varieties of table grapes, prickly pears or enormous avocado plantations . A breathtaking scenic valley with the omni present Andes .
Drive northeast through the sharp scenic foothills of the Andes until entering the Aconcagua valley after the km long Chacabuco tunel. Twenty minutes away and we are in Ed Flaherty winery. Ed, who originally is from California, was before starting his own boutique winery, the chief winemaker for Errazuriz winery. He studied previously oenology, at Davis, university of California. His wines are smooth, silky, well structured and balanced. Some would describe them as friendly wines, just very easy to enjoy, even without food Escorial boutique winery , a intimate wine tasting with a passionate host , Charly, who will do a complete tasting with a charcuterie experience . You will try sangiovesse , which is hard to come by in Chile , as we focus mainly on french varieties , also aged silky oportos of which one of them are grapes grown at 1600 metres in the Andes. Lunch is also a delight here.
