Hi, I’m Lauri — a licensed Washington, DC tour guide, storyteller, author and proud member of the Guild of Professional Tour Guides of Washington, DC. I’m a DC native (by choice), and when I’m not guiding, you’ll often find me exploring museums, neighborhoods, or following a historical thread that caught my curiosity. I will share this city with you as I would a visiting friend or family member, making Washington easy to understand without feeling overwhelming. My tours focus on the classic monuments and highlights that locals, as well as first-time and international visitors want to see, while clearly explaining what you’re looking at and why it matters. For guests who want to go deeper, I also offer cultural and Black history experiences.
