I also run my own women’s fashion micro company in Tokyo, which keeps me closely connected to Japan’s creative scene, lifestyle, and latest trends. In my home prefecture of Gunma, I share hidden treasures just two hours from Tokyo. You can visit silk workshops in Kiryu, where fabrics are created for top fashion houses; taste sake at family-run breweries; paint your own Daruma doll; or relax in riverside hot springs. Gunma also offers dramatic natural sites like Fukiware Falls, as well as many other landscapes and historic places, along with castle ruins and even quirky snake centers.
