Guide #60150
Hello. My name is Ayumi. I was born and raised in Osaka. I worked for a telecommunications company for many years and lived mainly in Osaka and a bit in Wakayama. I still work for that company and also work as a guide. My hobbies are eating out, chatting with friends and going for drives to see beautiful scenery. Let me tell you a bit about why I got my guide license. I have been volunteering for over 20 years supporting Japanese language learners from many different countries. As part of that volunteer work, I took part in bus tours with Japanese language learners every year, and I fell in love with telling foreigners about Japan and its attractions, so I decided to get a licence. It was a bit of a challenge to get the license, but it made guiding more enjoyable as I met many wonderful senior guides and fellow guides. During my guiding career, I experienced excursion tours for international conferences and specially organised tours to places related to my clients' ancestors. I also have extensive experience as a meet and greet and transit assistant at airports. The city I would most like to introduce to foreigners visiting Japan is Osaka. Of course Tokyo and Kyoto are wonderful cities, but Osaka is very warm-hearted and nostalgic. A must-see in Osaka, but still little known, is the fishing port right next to Kansai Airport. It is great fun to visit the fishing port while it is open. I can help you walk the streets at your own pace without the language anxiety and differences in customs that many visitors feel when travelling to Japan. I can also arrange…… ・Koyasan (Mt. Koya) ・Kumano Kodo Highlight Course ・Fish market tour near Kansai International AirportPlease let me know your wishes. I can help you create wonderful memories of your trip to Japan.

I enjoyed the thorough walk through Osaka Station and Umeda. These stations are immense indeed. I've passed through these before, but never took the time to explore them. Ayumi gave me the royal tour. We ate interesting squid pancakes on the way and finished with dinner in one of the many eateries. I am far less apprehensive of these stations and their endless lineup of...
Ayumi was a very good guide and our family enjoyed her company. Before our arrival, she provided the Japan Travel Web link (Govt. Immigration website) without us asking (or even knowing such a site exists) which saved us a ton of time and anxiety when we landed in Japan. We pre-filled everything for 5 people while still at home, and went thru the arrival processing at...
