Hello everyone, Thank you for finding my page. My name is Atsuko. I am a licensed tour guide living in Osaka. I am new to ToursByLocals but I have experienced private tours for more than 8 years. Becoming a tour guide was my long-term dream since I visited the US and New Zealand as a volunteer tour conductor in my 20s. I wanted to become an overseas tour guide and do guiding in other countries. Unfortunately due to personal matters, I was not able to follow this through. Fortunately, I could become a licensed tour guide through my experiences such as teaching English, raising children, and volunteer tour guiding. Now I am really happy with my job. I enjoy meeting people and embracing new opportunities Japan attracts many people in the world because of its long history, unique geography, beautiful nature, intriguing cuisine, ancient and modern cultures, mixed religions, food, fashion, and the people living here. I was born and raised in Osaka. I am proud of living here. Osaka has a mix of unique cultures which are traditional and modern. It is also the gastronomic capital of Japan. Nara and Kyoto, which are neighboring prefectures, were ancient capitals of Japan. They have many historical sites, artefacts, relics, and structures. There is proof that these capitals flourished in ancient times. Also, beautiful nature in those areas enhance their attraction. Kobe city in Hyogo prefecture, has a different taste from those three areas for geographical reasons. I am happy to show these attractive places to everyone!! Thank you for reading my information. Overview of your Osaka tour

My home city is near Nara so I have visited there many times since I was a child. Nara has attracted me for a long time! Nara was the ancient capital in Japan so our religions, culture, architecture, and history all started in Nara. There are many temples, shrines, historical sites, artefacts, and relics. It is a good place to study the Japanese history. Nara also has beautiful nature which enhances its attractions. There are more than 1000 deer in the park. We can enjoy feeding, touching and playing with them. The UNESCO World Heritage Sites are adjacent to the park and surrounded by mountains. There are some beautiful traditional Japanese gardens which were part of a temple. The scenery of these areas is magnificent and picturesque. We can relax and feel peaceful. Let's enjoy walking with deer, seeing beautiful nature and learning the 1300-year-old history in Nara together!

Atsuko was an amazing tour guide of an amazing town! Well in advance of our trip she corresponded with us to make sure we could walk well and what our food preferences were. She was early to pick us up at our hotel and started our day quickly. Her English was good and knowledge great! She knew how to move quickly through tourist spots, even using quiet passages to get from one place to another. She taught us how and where to feed the deer so that we weren't overwhelmed. The lunch spot she took us to was delicious and full of local specialties which she educated us about. She constantly offered to take pictures of us and got us easily off and on the various forms of transportation for the day. What a great day in Nara with Atsuko!

We met Atsuka in Nara at our hotel. We started at the Kofukuji temple. She explained the temple history and buildings. We then went to the deer park which was so amazing. We shopped for a few souvenirs. She was very helpful teaching us about Nara. We talked about Shrines and temples and the history of Nara to include a number of unesco sites. We had a nice udon lunch and got everything done we hoped to accomplish. We finished at the Nara train station. I would definitely recommend Atsuka.

Atsuko did a great job with us 4. We covered a lot of ground and she had great visuals to show and teach us. She was patient when we went into shops and got food. She was punctual and had a nice itinerary for us. Great job!!
