Hello. My name is Ayumi. I was born and raised in Osaka. I worked for a telecommunications company for many years and lived mainly in Osaka and a bit in Wakayama. I still work for that company and also work as a guide. My hobbies are eating out, chatting with friends and going for drives to see beautiful scenery. Let me tell you a bit about why I got my guide license. I have been volunteering for over 20 years supporting Japanese language learners from many different countries. As part of that volunteer work, I took part in bus tours with Japanese language learners every year, and I fell in love with telling foreigners about Japan and its attractions, so I decided to get a licence. It was a bit of a challenge to get the license, but it made guiding more enjoyable as I met many wonderful senior guides and fellow guides. During my guiding career, I experienced excursion tours for international conferences and specially organised tours to places related to my clients' ancestors. I also have extensive experience as a meet and greet and transit assistant at airports. The city I would most like to introduce to foreigners visiting Japan is Osaka. Of course Tokyo and Kyoto are wonderful cities, but Osaka is very warm-hearted and nostalgic. A must-see in Osaka, but still little known, is the fishing port right next to Kansai Airport. It is great fun to visit the fishing port while it is open. I can help you walk the streets at your own pace without the language anxiety and differences in customs that many visitors feel when travelling to Japan. I can also arrange…… ・Koyasan (Mt. Koya) ・Kumano Kodo Highlight Course ・Fish market tour near Kansai International AirportPlease let me know your wishes. I can help you create wonderful memories of your trip to Japan.

The fishing port is located in Tajiri, a small town south of the metropolis of Osaka. The Sunday morning market started in August 1994, a little earlier than the opening of Kansai International Airport. The market now attracts many shoppers from Osaka and other prefectures in search of fresh, good-value fish, vegetables and ‘Anago’ tempura. Why not spend a pleasant time at the market, where locals come to shop for their daily needs, and take a peek into the everyday life of the Japanese people? Please Note: The morning market is held from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Even after the market ends, you are welcome to eat at the local restaurants in the fishing port and enjoy the beautiful sea view.
- From Rinku Town Station, walk along Marble Beach to Tajiri Fishing Port. - At Tajiri Fishing Port, I will show you popular shops and food. There will be tastings of food recommended by me. - After shopping, you can take a break at a café with a view of the sea or have a fresh seafood bowl. - The tour ends at the fishing port, but you can optionally be taken back to the station.
