Khalid E was an excellent personal guide for my wife and I. He met us at Osaka port on foot. We got a taxi to the Shinkansen (Bullet train) station.Bullet train to Kyoto. 13 minutes!! 1.5 hours if driving. We then used taxis and local trains to get around Kyoto. We visited various old established residential areas like the Gion geisha district and Higashiyama. Also Kyoto rail station,The Golden Pagoda,Nishiki market and Fushimi Inari Taisha,the over 1,000 red Torri gates entrance. All sites were selected by us for a private tour and not part of a group. He even took us to a very specific sport shop to buy a sports jersey for our grandson!! We had lunch in the Nishiki market. We then returned to Osaka port on the Bullit train plus local trains. We were able to get around quicker using trains and taxis than if we were to have been driven on a driver/guided tour. Khalid was friendly,chatty,informative and knowledgeable throughout this excellent tour. We highly recommend him Anthony Webber
