Private Full Day Osaka Tour

Our Osaka tour guide, Toichi “Itchi”, made the entire experience feel personal and special from the very first moment. He didn’t just recite facts—he connected with each of us, remembered little details, and turned the day into something that felt tailor-made for our group. One of the funniest is the way he made up a story and to taught us how to count in Japanese. He also brought out prizes for the best attempts at writing Japanese characters and for origami. It was such a thoughtful touch—competitive, creative, and genuinely fun. Watching everyone try their best (and fail gloriously in the most adorable ways) made the whole group bond even more. We couldn’t have imagined a better start to our Japan adventure. Toichi set the tone for the entire trip: warm, engaging, full of laughter, and full of heart. If you’re looking for a guide in Osaka who makes you feel like a friend rather than a tourist, Toichi “Itchi” is the one. Highly, highly recommend!

Ichi was amazing. Very knowledgeable about Osaka. It was so so hot, so we needed lots of hydration spots. Ichi was so patient with us. He specifically took us to a Ramen restaurant as that is what our 16 year wanted. He was also brilliant at explaining the transportation system to us, so we felt confident to find our way to Kyoto the next day. One of the things I appreciated the most was how communicative he was before and after the tour. He really cared. Would definitely recommend.

Ichi was more than a great guide, he truly finished our trip on the highest level possible. We had a lot of great guides on this trip. We made a lot of friends. Ichi is everything you can want in a guide. He was early to pick us up and made sure we had a great time all day. He helped get us to dinner and provided support to make our train. He was continually altering our day to better suit our needs. He is in high demand so book early. Ichi is one of the best guides I have ever had and my only regret is he was already booked for the other days we were in Osaka. Going forward a trip to Osaka will not be complete without spending time with Ichi.

We had the BEST time with Toichi—aka “Ichi-san” (our nickname for him 😊). From day one, he came in fully prepared with maps and a binder full of illustrations, super knowledgeable, and just easy to vibe with. He didn’t give us a cookie-cutter tour—he really paid attention to what we liked and tailored everything to fit us, which made the whole experience feel personal and effortless. What we loved most? He didn’t just disappear after the tour. He kept giving us great tips and recommendations for the rest of our trip, which honestly made exploring on our own so much better. We were actually sad when we got to Tokyo because he only guides in Osaka and Kyoto—we totally missed him! We mentioned his name so much with our tour guide in Tokyo that our Tokyo guide felt a little jealous. If you’re heading to Osaka or Kyoto, book Ichi-san. No question.

We had a wonderful day with Ichi-san. He knows his city well and took us to many different locations using public transportation - quickly and easily. He explained the history of Japan in a simple way and the importance of the city of Osaka. He taught us how to say numbers in Japanese and had us create an origami crane (and didn’t laugh at my clumsiness). He was informative and fun and packed a lot into the tour while allowing us to rest when needed. His flexible pace was appreciated. We recommend him highly.

My wife and I arrived in Osaka at 1pm and met Itchi in our hotel lobby at 2pm. From the start Itchi was incredible. He gave us a full tour of Osaka (as much as you can squeeze into one day), great insights into the history of Osaka and Japanese culture generally. Itchi speaks great English and is very knowledgable about Osaka’s history and modern vibe. One of the highlights was a visit to a “stand up” sake bar where we drank sake with locals and tasted traditional food. Itchi has an engaging personality and since he is local to the area we saw parts of Osaka off the beaten track and many hidden gems. We highly recommend Itchi for a fun and enlightening tour of Osaka. Loved it!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻
