Hi Gente!! I was born and raised in Florence and live in one of the most ancient quarters of the city center with my husband and four children, the last of whom is named Michelangelo after you-know-who, I couldn't resist! Having had a full career with a major airline has given me the opportunity to travel the world, but my native city has remained my first love. I'm a university-trained expert in world history and Italian and European art history and have worked as a licensed guide since 2010. Living in Florence my entire life gives me the advantage of being able to share my city from a unique perspective. I can provide you with ideal, tailor-made walking tour or excursion itineraries whether your interests lie in exploring the most famous sites, museums and churches of Florence and Tuscany, or its fabulous wealth of lesser known treasures. As well as being able to provide simple or in-depth tours of those places most sought-out during first trips to the city, such as the galleries of the Uffizi, Accademia and Pitti Palace or the Cathedral Complex, my specialties include tandem family tours, Jewish Florence, The Florence of Dan Brown's Inferno, Florentine Arts & Crafts, The Medici Villas of the Countryside, and Contemporary Florence, to name just a few, as well as "fanciful" tours, like Timeless Love Stories of Florence, and tours that focus on a specific artist architect or theme. Additionally, I can organise excursions that will allow you to experience Tuscany outside of Florence, including its world famous wines, cheeses, olive oil and vinegar. If you're not sure exactly what you would like to accomplish during your holiday, we can work together to come up the best possible, individualized itineraries for you. Three good reasons for not visiting Florence without me: It's easier: you can pull your nose out of Google Maps or Lonely Planet and devote your full attention to the beautiful things you're traveling to Florence to see. It's smarter: You're coming face-to-face with over 2, 000 years of extraordinary events, unique works of art, famous people, and brilliant ideas-and I have it all in my head for you! It's more practical: see the two points immediately above. Are you on vacation or not?! Diploma in Tourism University level training in Art History University level training in Ancient, Medieval and Modern History Senior Cabin Manager at Alitalia, the national airline of Italy Tourist Guide License of Florence and district First Aid and CPR Certification, including use of Defibrillator I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver. I am licensed to give tours in Italian, French and English. Since August 2021 Green Pass or CDC White Card vaccination certificate is mandatory.

An insightful tour by our wonderful guide, Paola, that explores the Jewish Community which has been part of Florence for over 800 years. The beauty of this synagogue is breathtaking and its history is fascinating. (Plus, we had a terrific Kosher meal at the end.). Loved this tour and it was something a little "out-of-the-box" and in a different area of Florence. ...

This review is for Paola’s two tours she provided to our group of 8. Paola provided a great overview of Florence on our moonlight tour. Her knowledge of the important city center sites was wonderful and she put the structure of buildings and the area into a meaningful historical context. On the Uffizi tour, the art people in our group and those of us who were not,...
