Join me to visit the fabulous wine region of Bordeaux and gain a deep understanding of the region's famous appellations from the soils, to the making of wine, the different vintages and the often confusing classification systems.

As a true native, and passionate about wine, my personal network enables me to open doors and organise visits that truly go behind the scenes. I generally would advise visiting three châteaux per day of course the well-known impressive classified ones known throughout the world but also smaller family owned and run châteaux.

I am a real 'people's person' and my approach as a guide enables me to share my passion and knowledge about wine and the Bordeaux vineyards in a professional yet friendly way, the aim being to make sure my clients leave with an unforgettable experience! I love nature and the Bordeaux area offers a wide range of beautiful spots where I enjoy walking, cycling, swimming in the ocean, even scuba diving! As a serious 'foodie' I will also enjoy helping you discover the best selection of delicious local dishes including some of the 1200 different types of French cheeses (not for the faint hearted!) and advise you on how to best match wine & food!

Being an anglophone enables me to better communicate and understand your needs and build an individual itinerary that suits you.

I do not have any restrictions in regard to my guiding, I can offer a full range of experiences.

Meet at the City Centre dockside at 10am. Discover Bordeaux City Centre on foot (please make sure to wear confortable shoes) and see main places of interest: Stock exchange, water mirror, walk through cobbled pedestrian streets of the old town to La Grosse Cloche and Porte de Bourgogne, visit St Andre Cathedral, walk down to the Opera House, Place des Quinconces and to the charming area of Les Chartrons. At noon: Lunch at a lively Brasserie loved by locals! (menu of the day or 25euros a la carte starters from 10euros to 15euros, mains from 20euros to 30euros, deserts from 7euros). 2. 30pm: private tasting workshop in Les Chartrons with 5 wines from Bordeaux: two reds (one Medoc, one St Emilion), one dry white and one sweet white presented by myself and Francois a local wine expert. 4pm return to ship.

Discover a relaxed tour of St Emilion's vineyards by an expert wine guide that includes a visit and tasting of a Grand Cru Classé Château, a quick stroll through the 8th century medieval village known throughout the world.

Enjoy a drive through the beautiful vineyards to show you the famous châteaux (such as Ausone, Cheval Blanc and Petrus), we will visit and taste wines from three different chateaux, followed by a relaxed château lunch set in the vineyards of a secluded valley next to St Emilion or in one of the village most renowned restaurant where you will be able to sample stunning local cuisine.

A relaxed cycling tour of Pauillac and its beautiful surrounding vineyards by an expert wine guide that includes two châteaux visits and tastings, an eco-friendly, peaceful and enjoyable way of discovering this world famous area!

Choose between a local restaurant three course lunch (either a Michelin Starred restaurant or a local gourmet Brasserie) or an outdoor picnic (prepared by a local Delicatessen) on the edge of the vineyard overlooking the river.
