My name is Paolo and I'm a licensed tourist guide in Dubrovnik. For almost 20 years I have been sharing the passion for my country and the city I live in with travelers from around the world. After meeting in the Cruise Ship Port the road will take us, above the walled city, to a high ridge. I would like to take you to this spot as it will give you the chance to enjoy the best vista down on Dubrovnik's Old Town. Dubrovnik is a city that you simply must see from the above. A real feast for the eye and the photographer's lens.

We shall then drive along the Riviera of Dubrovnik and tucked away in its north-western end in the tiny village called Mali Zaton.  It is here in Mali Zaton (the name means Secluded Bay) away from the hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik, that you will have enough time to have lunch by the sea.

We shall meet just outside the western city gate called Pile Gate. After a few words of introduction at Pile we shall enter the Old Town which is hemmed in by towering mountains and the Adriatic Sea but these natural fences were reinforced by the sturdy walls which defended and defined the city limits. The walking tour within the walled city will give me the chance to share the passion I have for the rich history of our city. I am a history buff and therefore I shall do my best to bring to life Dubrovnik's past.

Dubrovnik: History and Vistas

This outing is an ideal combination of the best views over the Riviera of Dubrovnik, and the discovery of its most known sites; Cavtat and Dubrovnik.

We shall start this great day with a drive to a viewpoint which will allow us to stop and capture a bird's-eye view of Dubrovnik. From the slopes of Mount Srđ, you will be able to photograph and see, laid out like on the palm of your hand, the Old Town.

The drive will then continue along the Riviera of Dubrovnik, and tucked away in its south-eastern end lies the delightful town of Cavtat.

After Cavtat we shall continue to Dubrovnik. I'm passionate about the Old Town, its present and past. During the walking tour I'll do my best to give life to its history.

In order to experience Dubrovnik in full, you will have some time at leisure to soak up the atmosphere and perhaps enjoy a meal in a local restaurant.
