Hello dear guests! My name is Marijana, your private tourist guide in Dubrovnik. I was born in Dubrovnik in 1984, studied Aquaculture at the University of Dubrovnik and graduated in 2007. From the same University in 2014, I obtained a licence to become a tourist guide - one of the best decisions of my life! In these few years I've been a guide, I have had the pleasure to meet hundreds of people from all over the world by working for a number of tourist agencies. I find this job to be dynamic, interesting, responsible and above all fun - it is hard to even think of it as a job. It is an opportunity for me to teach my guests about our culture, history, traditions and everyday life. And finally, walk with me down Stradun, one of the most beautiful streets in the World and learn about Dubrovnik - the heart of the once glorious Republic of Ragusa under protection of Saint Blaise, an UNESCO World Heritage site, the cradle of diplomacy, the home of quarantine laws - the city that cherished freedom above all! We won't forget to take stunning photos of Dubrovnik from Srdj hill panorama - the shimmering Adriatic sea will make a perfect frame!
Your Dubrovnik tour itinerary
I will pick you up and then we will do the following: * a scenic drive alongside the Bay of the River of Dubrovnik and the slopes of the Hill Srđ * panorama photo stop (the hill where the cable-car goes) * 30 minutes drive to Cavtat * walking tour of Cavtat * free time for coffee * drive to the Old town, park and walk 5 minutes to Pile/Ploče gate through the old neighborhood of Dubrovnik (*if walking down steps imposes a difficulty let me know beforehand). * introduction into Dubrovnik's history before going inside the City Walls * walk through the streets of the Town; Stradun (Placa), Prijeko, Buza. . * stop at all main sites with explanation: Onofrio's Fountain, Franciscan monastery, Town's open market (opened only during morning hours), the Cathedral, Rector's Palace, Dominican monastery, Sponza Palace, Church of St. Blaise, Orlando column, Stradun, Old port. . . * time to yourselves before leaving **This tour can be tailored to your liking and for a larger group as well.
