Captivating City Walls tour is envisioned as an extensive 3 hour long walking tour that combines relaxed and enjoyable stroll through Dubrovnik's historic core with the visit to Dubrovnik's most famous historical landmark - the City Walls. Highlight of the tour are monumental walls of Dubrovnik, a must see attraction, whose outstanding construction process encompassed time period of over 500 years. The walls proudly stand today as the Dubrovnik's main identifier, surviving centuries of turbulent historical events. During our tour we will climb and walk half the perimeter of this marvelous medieval fortification system which will require some physical strain, but the most stunning panoramic views of the Old town make it definitely worthy of the effort, and I am confident that you will agree with me after you experience it yourself. This was a fantastic tour, covering the major historical sites and places of interest in the Old Town. Tonka was knowledgeable, interesting and able to answer any questions. She was at all times thoughtful and considerate of our needs and interests, and paced the tour accordingly. We would highly recommend her especially if you are interested in history, art and architecture .

We had a wonderful private tour of the Old Town and of the walls with Tonka. We learned so much about Dubrovnik’s older history along with how more recent events in history have deeply affected the community there.
Tour will start at our agreed meeting location from where we will proceed to see following: • Pile Gate -will stop for information and photos • Onofrio's fountain and Franciscan monastery-will stop by for information and photos and to purchase entrance tickets for the City Walls • Continue our walk/climb along southern side of the City Walls, will stop multiple times for information and photos • Exit the City Walls and proceed to Luza square-will stop for information and photos • Sponza palace and the Memorial room of Dubrovnik defenders - will walk inside • Rector's Palace and Farmers' market-will stop for information and photos • Cathedral of the Assumption - will stop for information 1. For time efficiency of tour we may switch the order of visiting these locations to avoid crowded areas 2. The itinerary can be customized even while on tour!
