Greetings, dear guests! It'll be my pleasure to host you in Dubrovnik during your stay! I am Ivana and I am an official licensed guide for Dubrovnik and Dubrovnik-Neretva County. Before I decided to become a full-time tour guide, I was studying at American College of Management and Technology in Dubrovnik, division of Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) where I majored in Small Business. After graduation, for several years I was working in management of one Croatian hotel chain when I decided to make a big career change and pursue new adventures. I enjoy my job in such extent I stopped considering it a job long time ago. Every day is an opportunity to meet new people from all over the world which is one of the greatest benefits of this job. During the guiding, I try to depict what life used to be like in old Ragusa and what life is like today in Dubrovnik. Of course, ages, years, architectural styles are all equally important, but without the perspective of any given era, guiding becomes a dull historical class which is definitely not my style. I take advantage of every winter, when business is a bit slower (we are mainly a summer destination), to travel around to wherever and to catch up on my reading. What intrigues me the most are Dubrovnik's legends and stories one cannot easily access on the Internet. I am not focused only on history, I also do Game of Thrones tours that are vastly popular in Dubrovnik (or should I say, King's Landing) - on this tour I take you to filming sites and locations and share stories from the set. Join me on an immersive Game of Thrones tour in Dubrovnik which will take you to Trsteno Arboretum - also known as Gardens of King's Landing; followed by Dubrovnik's old town - King's Landing. We won't talk about Game of Thrones for the entire time, because Dubrovnik's history was truly remarkable, and its parts served as an inspiration to Game of Thrones - I'll reveal to you which parts those were; on the other hand, if you're a hard-core GoT fan, this is the ideal tour - I'll share with you all my inside knowledge of the filming, and we can also comment how we liked the big finale of the best TV show in history :)
She did an excellent job on the tour. We were a family of 6 and she needed to pivot as we were completing a Backroads trip and toured part of Dubrovnik in the morning and so did a fantastic job modifying here tour to accommodate us.
Ivana was a terrific guide to Dubrovnik in terms and history and game of thrones filming. She did a great job covering a lot of historical information as we walked through old town and later in the Trsteno Arboretum. She answered all of our many questions and had endless fun facts for when we ran out of questions! We highly recommend Ivana to get to know old town and to see the amazing places game of thrones was filmed!
We are on a world cruise visiting 52 countries and 75 ports. Hands down, Ivana was our best tour guide that we have toured with in the last six months. . She was knowledgeable, entertaining and very friendly. We walked next to other tours that had large groups and the tour guide’s English was so poor, the guest gave up. She was extremely articulate and clear. We would highly recommend! You will definitely not be disappointed. She is the best of the best!
Ivana took our family on a fabulous tour of a beautiful city. We started with the arboretum/garden which was beautiful…and then toured the old city, starting at the fort and wandering through the city. The tour was great and Dubrovnik was amazing. As half our group liked game of thrones and half was totally indifferent, Ivana did a nice job of giving us both some history of the city and some game of thrones stories.

One of our favorite days while in Croatia was our tour with Ivana in Dubrovnik! We wanted an overview of the area that included the history of Croatia as well as seeing the beautiful town and countryside. How wonderful it was to have Ivana blend all these things together with trivia and sights from the Game of Thrones, which we loved. Trsteno Arboretum was fabulous as was the insight from Ivana as we drove along the gorgeous coastline. So glad we toured with THE best tour guide! Thank you Ivana!
This is a suggested itinerary: - pick up from your accommodation/cruise ship - the driver and I will meet you and greet you and we can start our exciting day - Trsteno Arboretum - village Trsteno, around 30 minutes of driving from Dubrovnik, in GoT it was Gardens of King's Landing - King's Landing filming locations - picturesque sites of Dubrovnik's old city - Blackwater Bay - next to the old town, area rich in GoT scenes and beautiful views - Red Keep - us locals know it as Lovrjenac fort - Walk of Shame - one of the most popular locations, it's a beautiful staircase, also known as Jesuite stairs in real life. If you have other preferences, please let me know and I can customize the tour for you.
