Year 2011 was important in Dubrovnik because that was when HBO decided Dubrovnik will get another alter ego - King's Landing, the capital city of the Seven Kingdoms. Just before the filming started in Dubrovnik, 'Game of Thrones' was already well-known and popular and the entire show definitely contributed to the overall destination reputation. It was only a matter of time when other big filming companies were to film in Dubrovnik - Star Wars came along, Robin Hood, Knightfall, Bollywood, and probably many more in the future. Join me and see the Walk of Shame, King's Landing, Red Keep, Iron Throne and the gardens of King's Landing. Visit one of the oldest arboretums in this part of Europe. Have the best view of King's Landing from Mount Srdj.
We had a great day seeing the Dubrovnik area with Matija. He has a nice van and made sure we saw all the special spots and avoided the crowds. Gave us insight into the history of Croatia that we definitely wouldn’t have gotten with a larger tour. It was just our group of 4. Highly recommend

We used Matija for two tours in Dubrovnik - Game of Thrones and Montenegro. He was fantastic. He worked around a flight change we had and dropped us off at the airport. He had great stories about the Game of Thrones filming and organized a fantastic itinerary in Montenegro including a local guide in Kotor. His English was fantastic. Matija is funny, outgoing, and a delight to be around. When I go back to Dubrovnik someday, I will hire Matija for another multi-day trip!

This was a fabulous tour!! We were picked up from the cruise ship dock and taken to so many places where the filming was done. He was a great tour guide with lots of inside knowledge and so many interesting facts. Do this tour!!
We had a great day in Dubruvnik. Only a few of us were game of throne fans but even those who were not totally enjoyed the beautiful sites. Matija was a awesome guide.
We will start in Trsteno Arboretum, the oldest arboretum in this part of the world. Located north of Dubrovnik, in Trsteno, here you will walk through the palace gardens of King's Landing, where gossip and intrigue foreshadowed battles. After that we will go to Mount Srdj where you will see Kings Road but also I will take you to the top of Mount Srdj where the cable car goes so you can see one of the best views in Europe. Then we will go to King's Landing, Dubrovnik, latest and official capital of Seven Kingdoms. This is where the kings of Westeros plotted against their own blood and other enemies. You will walk on Stradun, Dubrovnik's main street and see the Walk of shame stairs. Lovrijenac Fortress was the Red Keep, It is located outside Dubrovnik on a 40 m high rock on the shore. The bay right in front of the fortress was used for the climatic scenes during the Battle of Blackwater. I can customize this tour to fit your preference.
