Hi dear guests, My name is Darko and I was born and raised in Dubrovnik where I have spent most of my life. My home town, its medieval city walls and its picturesque surroundings are something that I have always found magically enchanting. That is one of the reasons why I chose to spend the last 19 years of my life working in tourism. At the beginning I worked as a professional driver/guide, and since 2014 as a licensed tourist guide. All of these have given me the possibility to do something that fulfills me, and makes me really happy: exploring my country, presenting it to our guests, meeting new people from different parts of the world. . . But most of all I enjoy having direct contact with the guests, and creating customized tours that can suite a wide range of their wishes. If you decide to honor us with your presence in our small unique city, I will be more than happy to guide you through its amazing historical and cultural heritage and through its beautiful surroundings with adding a local flavor to your overall holiday experience. Overview of your Dubrovnik tour

Dear guests, if you would like to experience the essence of Dubrovnik area and to get a bit wider view of it in couple of hours this tour is the best choice !!! Dubrovnik is not just the famous old town, but much more !!! It's closest surroundings, we locals consider part of the City as well. Would you like to see why ? Would you like to know why I have never left Dubrovnik ? How it was growing up surrounded by all that unique history and all of these handy people and sea men ? I will be honored to present you my home town! You will see irresistible attractions of Dubrovnik architects, Ombla river bay often out of the radar of many visitors, magical, medieval, sea side town of Cavtat - my favorite ! Here you can see how easily we loose sense of time while enjoying our favorite hobby - having coffee in the shade, or why for us, true locals first choice is water polo sport. Top of the Srđ hill is the best place to share my memories of 1990 s war here and for the breathtaking Dubrovnik view from above!!!

We were completely thrilled with our Tours By Locals experience. Our personal guide, Darko was amazing throughout the tour. He picked us up right on time from the cruise port in a clean and well appointed Mercedes van. My wife and I were immediately impressed with his knowledge of the local area and the way he explained everything was super interesting! We found him to be warm and charismatic and so easy to like. We had a great half day with Darko. He was knowledgeable, flexible and provided a wonderful and customized experience for our family. The best part was Cavat town on the sea. He provided a great walking tour of Old town as well. The tour was five stars. I highly recommend booking with Darko!

Darko was our favorite guide of all time. He was attentive, caring, and very thoughtful about what we wanted to do. Even though we made our trip little bit longer due to our lunch which I don’t think Darko expected it but we had such a wonderful time with him. He definitely imprinted a positive experiences and memory of Dubrovnik which make me wanting to revisit the place and meet him again. We love you Darko!!!

Darko as a guide is 5+ stars. He was so informative and answered all of our questions expertly. He was so kind towards our son, helping him to find the best path for his scooter and dropping us off in the most scooter friendly location as possible. Your Dubrovnik tour itinerary

Pick up at any preferred location in Dubrovnik or Cavtat ( hotel, accommodation, Cruise ship port ). - Driving along the Ombla river bay and it's source to hear some interesting facts about it. - Panoramic stop on the bridge above the new part of Dubrovnik. - Scenic drive towards top of the mount Srđ ( same place where the cable car goes ), next to the fort Imperial ( houses the Homeland war museum ). - Along the picturesque Župa bay to Cavtat town on the seaside. Brief walk around. - Optional drink brake or some free time. - Back to the Old Town of Dubrovnik for a walking tour around Stradun, Old Town port, Jewish quarter. - Brief stops in front of the Rector's palace, Sponza palace, Onofrio's fountain, St. Blaise church, Dubrovnik's Cathedral, Franciscan monastery. . . Transportation back to any preferred location in Dubrovnik. Please keep in your mind that this is your private tour and I can always customize it to suit your wishes !
