Hello dear traveler, my name is Zdenko. I was born in unique city of Dubrovnik half a century ago and lived most of my life in this Paradise. I spent some years working on cruise ships at Florida and the Caribbean and in November of 1999 I came back home. Since then I have been working in tourism business here in "Jewel of the Adriatic", most of all as tourist guide and driver. My home town is a living monument, a mixture of breath taking nature, architecture, history and art. Living out of Dubrovnik for some years made me even more appreciate my home town if I ever had any doubts in my younger days. One of the reasons why I decided to become a professional tourist guide is meeting people from all over the world and presenting them the most amazing sights of this medieval city with it's beautiful surroundings. I still enjoy in stunning panoramic sights myself and it makes me really happy to share it with travelers from different parts of the world. I consider myself privileged to be born here and to be able to provide the visitors with the real feel of the destination. The idea of this tour is to escape the crowd and enjoy in driving to the spots where you will be amazed with Dubrovnik sights which most of the tourists had never seen on the tours with large groups. In approximately four hours of the tour I will show you the most beautiful view of the Old Town from above, as well as the new parts of Dubrovnik, the new bridge, river Ombla, parts of old aqueduct, country side of Zupa Dubrovacka, beautiful little town of Cavtat and sightseeing stop above Cavtat from where is breath taking view all over Cavtat and Konavle valley together with the airport just under it. In distance you will be able to see Zupa Dubrovacka, Dubrovnik itself as well and the Elafit islands, especially on clear days. During this tour we will take several brakes for photo sessions and you may take optional a break for refreshment in one of the cafés by the sea in Cavtat. This tour will give you idea of where and how the local people of Dubrovnik and its surrounding areas actually live.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Zdenko. He has fascinating and had personal insights into the war and was very knowledgeable about the overall history of Croatia. He showed us interesting things like the aqueduct path, the site of that water source and local points of interest. He was a great driver and we felt well cared for by him.
Zdenko continued our afternoon tour with a beautiful drive through Dubrovnik, giving us fabulous highlights of the city's and country's history. He made frequent stops to talk about the importance of each of the sights we saw as well as showing us the beauty of the area. It was a very informative and interesting tour. We highly recommend Zdenko and really give him 4+++ stars review.+

This tour provides the perfect way to see the amazing outskirts of Dubrovnik while still allowing plenty of time to explore the Old Town. Zdenko offers a wealth of information and insight into the past and present of this remarkable region. He is responsive, amicable, and highly accommodating. This experience was truly a highlight of our trip!
Zdenko was prompt in arrival, and offered the tour as well as an opportunity for us to make a few changes along the way. He was very knowledgeable, his car was very clean, and we were able to see places we would have never known to ask for.
After we meet at the agreed spot we shall start with our tour and you will get to: -Inevitable foto stop at the new bridge on the west side of Dubrovnik. -Driving on the north west side of the Ombla river towards the source. -Make a short stop on a picturesque place where the Ombla is coming out of the hill. -We will drive through the ACI Marina nearby. -We will continue to drive behind the hill Srdj through the country side passing by the parts of old aqueduct from 15th century. -Our next photo stop is place overlooking the bay of Zupa Dubrovacka. -Driving through the picturesque Zupa. -Take a stop and have a walk along Cavtat's palm-lined promenade. -Optional we can make a short brake and you may have a refreshment in Cavtat on one of terraces by the sea. -The Grey Falcon viewpoin is just above Cavtat, few minutes drive. -Sugar on the end, hill Srdj and two stops with the most beautiful views of Dubrovnik Old Town.
