Mostar, a city renowned for its cultural and religious variety and sadly violent recent past. A Place where East meets the West. Walk the iconic Mostar bridge, which gave city its name, ("most" is Croatian for "bridge") and still separates the Muslim and Christian sides of town, take a look of small bridge „Kriva cuprija", the Koski Mehmed Pasa Mosque, buy souvenirs at the famous Bazar, and enjoy a delicious Bosnian tradition called cevapi for lunch. A few short kilometers from Mostar lies the magnificent karstic spring of river Buna. Blagaj is settled beneath few hundred meters high rock under which river Buna comes out. There we will visit a sixteenth-century "tekija", or Dervish Monastery and learn about pre or early Ottoman era in Hercegovina and also visit the unique spring of the river Buna. Pocitelj a fortified Otoman village and fort from the 15th century.
Having Mat host our ten hour all day tour to Mostar was a great experience in that he is an attentive, experienced driver and accomplished conversationalist. He had entertaining anecdotes to share along the way and we felt safe and comfortable with him navigating borders and the various sites we visited. Croatia is truly a beautiful coastal country that should be visited in depth outside of the great walled city of Dubrovnik.

The drive was beautiful, the stops lovely, and Mostar was everything we hoped it would. Seeing the bridge was a dream come true. And Matija was absolutely delightful. Interesting conversation never lagged. We had a wonderful time.
It was certainly a full day and Matija managed the timing to perfection. We enjoyed discovering the places and the conversation with Matija about history was certainly an added value. Our exchanges were easy flow. We had fun throughout the day. Mostar was very busy and we managed to escape the hordes of tourists by adding the visit of Mostar old bridge museum. It was a very hot day and we were happy to take refuge in the quiet museum which teaches you all about the historical context of the bridge, its destruction and reconstruction. We really enjoyed our day. Thank you Matija.
We had a great time on this tour , Matija, our guide/ driver was very knowledgeable and funny. If you are in the mood for something other than the typical Dubrovnik tour then going to Mostar and checking off Bosnia off your list is a great idea. Lots of history there and a great one day excursion. We highly recommend doing it with Matija.

Upon pick up at your accommodation/cruise ship, I will take you on unique journey into land of cultural diversities. -Our first stop is coffee, breakfast or just a restroom stop in Neum. After that we are heading to Pocitelj where we will have a walk through the village and the castle. Next stop is Blagaj-a place where history, religion, and one of kind nature mixes together in a mystic spiced combination where we will walk to the spring of the river Buna. - Drive towards Mostar lasts 30min and we will pull over in west Mostar and from there we will take walk through the old town. - During our walk you will see "Kriva cuprija" small bridge, Old bridge and Koski Mehmed Pasa's Mosque. - An hour of free time is planned before having a traditional lunch in a local restaurant. After enjoying our fantastic meal we are leaving Mostar and heading back to Dubrovnik filled with impressions
