Hello dear guests! My name is Marijana, your private tourist guide in Dubrovnik. I was born in Dubrovnik in 1984, studied Aquaculture at the University of Dubrovnik and graduated in 2007. From the same University in 2014, I obtained a licence to become a tourist guide - one of the best decisions of my life! In these few years I've been a guide, I have had the pleasure to meet hundreds of people from all over the world by working for a number of tourist agencies. I find this job to be dynamic, interesting, responsible and above all fun - it is hard to even think of it as a job. It is an opportunity for me to teach my guests about our culture, history, traditions and everyday life. Marijana was an absolutely wonderful tour guide in Dubrovnik! She was knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about the city's history and culture. She shared fascinating stories and historical details that brought Dubrovnik to life while keeping the tour fun, informative, and interactive. What truly stood out was how thoughtful and attentive she was to our group's needs. We were traveling with two young children and two elderly parents, and she was always mindful of everyone's abilities and comfort. Before reaching areas with lots of stairs or more challenging sections, she would give us a heads-up so my parents could decide whether they wanted to continue, wait for us, or if we wanted to adjust our plans as a group. What a fantastic afternoon with Marijana. After meeting us at the Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik just outside Pile Gate, we hopped into her car and headed up to the Mount Srđj viewpoint for a spectacular panoramic look over the entire city. Then we went back down to Dubrovnik to begin our walking tour. Marijana isn’t just a wealth of knowledge about Dubrovnik and Croatia—she’s a natural comedian who had us laughing nonstop. Your Dubrovnik tour itinerary
I will pick you up at your accommodation (Dubrovnik City area) or at the port (for cruise ships) and then we'll do the following: * a scenic drive alongside the Bay of the River of Dubrovnik and the slopes of the hill Srđ * panorama photo stop * drive to the Old town, park and walk 5 minutes to Pile/Ploche gate through the old neighbourhood of Dubrovnik * introduction into Dubrovnik's history before going inside its walls * walk of the City Walls (appropriate walking-footware and hats advised) * walk through Stradun (Placa) & the backstreets of the Old Town * stop at all main sites with explanation: - Onofrio's fountain, Franciscan monastery, - Town's open market (opened only during morning hours), - the Cathedral, Rector's Palace, - Dominican monastery, Sponza Palace, Church of St. Blaise, Orlando column, Stradun, Old port. . . **If you are a larger group or there is anything else you would like to add to our tour, don't hesitate to contact me.
