Hello dear guests! My name is Marijana, your private tourist guide in Dubrovnik. I was born in Dubrovnik in 1984, studied Aquaculture at the University of Dubrovnik and graduated in 2007. From the same University in 2014, I obtained a licence to become a tourist guide - one of the best decisions of my life! In these few years I've been a guide, I have had the pleasure to meet hundreds of people from all over the world by working for a number of tourist agencies. I find this job to be dynamic, interesting, responsible and above all fun - it is hard to even think of it as a job. It is an opportunity for me to teach my guests about our culture, history, traditions and everyday life. This is a tour that should not be missed when visiting Dubrovnik! Marijana's deep, generational knowledge of the area gave us insights and experiences we never would have had on our own. We were especially interested in learning about the political history and the war that impacted the region in the 1990s, and hearing her personal perspective was both fascinating and deeply meaningful. After taking in the spectacular views from Srđ Hill, we traveled to Konavle, where we learned about the traditional water mill, its history, and its importance to the local community. We ended the day in the beautiful seaside town of Cavtat, which was the perfect way to conclude our tour. Marijana was an absolute pleasure to spend the day with. Her warmth, knowledge, and storytelling made this one of the highlights of our trip, and we left feeling like we'll always have a friend in Dubrovnik!

A group of four of us did two tours with Marijana starting from the cruise port. It was easy to communicate with her prior to the tours. She is knowledgeable, vivacious and fun. We learned so much about Croatia's proud history and the resilience of its people. Her English is better than many native speakers and she showed us some beautiful places that we never would have found on our own. I can highly recommend her to anyone visiting this beautiful country.

Suggested itinerary: * pick-up at your accommodation * sightseeing along the Bay of the River of Dubrovnik * photo-stop panorama on the slopes of the hill Srdj (where the cable car goes) * walking tour of Cavtat where you can have a coffee break. * drive through Konavle field to the Old water mill where you will have the tradition explained * local homemade sweets and liqueurs tasting (it can get chilly close to the river so have something to put on). * drive back through small villages on a road overlooking the Adriatic sea. **There will be enough time for lunch during the tour. I recommend a traditional meal in one of the local families' restaurant. ***The suggested itinerary can be fully tailored to meet your needs and preferences.
