Hello, my name is Tomislav, or Tom for friends. Apart from being a licensed tourist guide for Dubrovnik region from 2007 and a lecturer in History of Dubrovnik class at local university, I am also a well-travelled person that has always enjoyed experiencing new exciting destinations, their history and local traditions. Since travelling is one of my passions, I have always had high respect for local advice and an 'insider insight' in local history, culture and traditions as an indispensable ingredient of a great holiday which enables the traveller to get the real feel of the destination; this was also one of the reasons why I decided to become a professional tourist guide. Although I'm featured on ToursByLocals only from 2013, I was able to make it to the list of TOP 10 busiest every year. In 2014 & 2015 I earned the title of the BUSIEST TOUR GUIDE, out of 1930 guides from 156 countries present on ToursByLocals. I am also the only guide from Dubrovnik and Croatia that ever made it to that list. I was born 45 years ago in Dubrovnik, a town in which I have spent most of my life, but which never ceases to amaze me. It is clear why the tourists, especially the first time visitors, become so enchanted with this medieval walled city; however most of them are unfortunately prone to overlook some of its most interesting and astonishing details. My aim is to provide the visitors with an intimate experience of Dubrovnik so they can truly understand and appreciate Dubrovnik's rich cocktail of history, architecture, art and exquisite Mediterranean cuisine. My tours are generally conducted in an informal and laid back manner as I learned that the best way to feel the destination is to simply have fun while exploring. In case you have already visited Dubrovnik or you have a bit more time at your disposal, I would suggest venturing further in Dubrovnik surroundings. There are diverse possibilities for half day and full day trips in the near vicinity of Dubrovnik and I will be happy to assist you in compiling a perfect tailor-made itinerary. IMPORTANT: I may still be available even on days marked UNAVAILABLE depending on your preferred timing for the tour. Therefore, it is best to contact me and check my availability directly. - Licensed Tourist Guide for Dubrovnik region from 2007 - member of Dubrovnik Tourist Guide Association - B.A. degree in Foreign Trade at University of Split - M.A. degree in International Relations & Diplomacy at Dubrovnik International University - part-time lecturer at DIU university (specialized in History of Dubrovnik & the Balkans) - certified sommelier - genuine Game of Thrones/Song of Ice and Fire fan No restrictions

This tour will enable you to see the most beautiful and interesting parts of Dubrovnik from two perspectives: up close during the walking part of the tour and then from high above after the panoramic drive to the Mt of St Serge above the city. You will have the chance to enjoy impressive panoramic views and gain insight in local traditions with a true local, born and bred in the city of Dubrovnik. Apart from covering the main landmarks of Old Dubrovnik we will go through few less known points of the city, which are tied to intriguing legends and picturesque anecdotes, some of which are tied to my own personal experiences. Flexibility is a key word with this tour as it can be arranged along with your preferences. For example, we can concentrate on the specific part of Dubrovnik history (such as Jewish heritage or the city), the locations used in the Game Of Thrones or something else you might be interested in. Rest assure, I will make sure that your visit to Dubrovnik remains unforgettable experience!

We did not do the tour as described due to tourist congestion in the Old City. Our guide an excellent guide changing to a tour of the wine and salt region. Very informative regarding history of the region.
Oh my goodness! What a fantastic first day in Dubrovnik with Tom. I can’t recommend him enough. He was so flexible with his schedule. We met in old town, but, as it was hot and crowded, we decided to drive up to take in the views from above first. What a treat. Then down to old town. We walked the old walls where there were hardly any visitors. It was so pleasant to have most of the areas to ourselves and learn of the history. Tom threw in a lot of Game of Thrones info for my cousin who was a fan making the tour even more interesting for her. He took time to explain what we were viewing and always to take a picture or two for us. If you are looking for a knowledge, fun and interesting guide in Dubrovnik I highly recommend Tom!
Tom was very personable and flexible. His knowledge of the history of the area made our tour even more memorable.
Tom is such a great guide. This was our second time to use him as our shore excursion guide. The first time we toured a bit of the old town and climbed the wall around the city. This time the tour focused on two perspectives. We saw the city close up and saw many interesting sights as we walked through the interesting parts of the old town. Then we took a beautiful panoramic drive up to the Mount of St. Serge. We saw many interesting sights along the way and Tom was very informative about the area. Since he is a native of Dubrovnik he is full of entertaining stories and myths concerning the area. Dubrovnik is such a beautiful place and Tom definitely showed us a totally different side of what we saw in our last tour. He is so informative and yet down to earth and fun to be with. We highly recommend him and he would be our first choice should we return to beautiful Dubrovnik. There is still so much more to explore!
Tom was one of the best guides we have ever had! We spent over 4.5 hours exploring the parts of Dubrovnik we had not seen yet (we had already spent 3 days there). Tom completely tailored the tour based on what we wanted to see and what made the most sense for us to do together. We are 2 couples, including one Game of Thrones fan while the others are not. Tom skillfully weaved into our tour many GOT sites, comparing the actual sites as we walked around the city with photos from the production. I found it fascinating, even though I never watched the show. He showed us parts of the city we wouldn't have found on our own. Tom took us on the inner city walls (we didn't even know they existed), and then he drove us up Mount Srd to enjoy the beautiful views. Tom is knowledgeable, personable, and answered our many questions. His English is excellent as is his depth of knowledge. The best!

This tour is a combination of a driving and walking tour. During the first part of the tour (drive up to the panoramic point above the city) we will have clean and well maintained air-conditioned vehicle on our disposal. Once we cover the panoramic point we wil be dropped off in the Old Town of Dubrovnik from where the walking tour commences.
