Our tour of Dubrovnik was one of the highlights of our trip, and a big part of that was thanks to Marko. From the very beginning, he was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, making the entire experience enjoyable and relaxed. His passion for the city and its history really came through in the way he explained each location, and he made sure everyone felt included and comfortable throughout the day. Walking along the Dubrovnik City Walls was absolutely unforgettable. The panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea, the terracotta rooftops, and the ancient stone walls were breathtaking. Marko shared fascinating stories about the city’s history, the importance of the walls, and how Dubrovnik became such an important cultural and trading center over the centuries. It truly brought the city to life. Exploring the Old City of Dubrovnik felt like stepping back in time. The narrow streets, historic architecture, and famous landmarks such as Stradun, Rector’s Palace, Onofrio’s Fountain, and the Franciscan Monastery were stunning. Marko gave excellent explanations at each stop and pointed out details we would have completely missed on our own. His local knowledge and sense of humor made the tour both educational and entertaining. Lokrum Island was another amazing part of the experience. The island’s peaceful atmosphere, beautiful gardens, and roaming peacocks created a completely different side of Dubrovnik to enjoy. The Benedictine Monastery and scenic walking areas were beautiful, and Marko gave us plenty of time to explore and take photos. Overall, this tour exceeded expectations in every way. The sights were incredible, the history and culture were fascinating, and Marko’s friendliness and professionalism made it a truly memorable experience. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Dubrovnik.
Marko is a very personable, energetic and super knowledgeable guide. He tailors your tour to your wishes. You cannot go wrong hiring him. We had a wonderful time. He even treated us to coffee, ice cream and pastries. Just hire him. You will have a great experience. Silvia
Marko was a wonderful host and kept the history of Dubrovnik interesting and insightful. He is personable and adaptable to the needs of his guests. We very much enjoyed the day we spent with him.
As a Dubrovnik native, Marko was incredibly knowledgeable about Croatia, the city and its history. He told us remarkable and personal stories about the 1991-92 war and its effect on Croatia. He was flexible so that he easily tailored the tour to meet our needs. Besides Dubrovnik (and yes Game of Throne scenes), we went to Mount Srd for scenic views and Lokrum, a beautiful bio-diverse island. His tour was especially great for us since we had limited time in the Dubrovnik area. I highly recommend Marko!
What a fantastic day! Marko is very knowledgeable and passionate about his hometown of Dubrovnik. We toured the whole of old town as well as walked the distance of the wall. So beautiful. Then we took a ferry to the island of Lokrum for more beautiful views. We very much enjoyed our day and mainly due to Marko as such a great guide.
