Hi, my name is Mato and I am licensed tourist guide in Dubrovnik since 2014. I was born and raised in Dubrovnik some 50+ years ago. I started my career in tourism in 1988. working as a receptionist. I never left this "Pearl of Adriatic", not even in those hard times in '90. 's. On the contrary I volunteered to defend my home. Until three years ago I was also Front desk manager at 5* hotel in Dubrovnik for 9 years and I decided to leave hotel bussines and continue as a local guide with a passion for history and more than 30 years experience in tourism. So, I am ready to present you both, ancient and recent history of my city. Of course, if you have some special interest, we can customize my regular tours. I am looking forward to meeting you and to adjust your tour to to exceed your expectations. Mato provided an absolutely wonderful tour! He was extremely friendly and extremely informative. As a man who was raised locally, he provided a wealth of interesting history from his unique perspective. We would love to tour with Mato again!!!

We were a party of six seniors, very interested in history as well as the spectacular sights of Dubrovnik. Mato was fabulous - lots of tales about historical Dubrovnik, then insights into the siege of the city in 1991, and a sense of Dubrovnik today. Mato is incredibly proud of his city and his culture; we were fascinated to hear it all. We would highly recommend him...

We had a great introduction to Dubrovnik’s history with Mato! He was entertaining and knowledgeable. I totally recommend his tour because Dubrovnik has so much history.
