Dubrovnik is not only a city surrounded by walls and adorned with medieval architecture, Dubrovnik is much more than a visual event. It is a very interesting and inspiring story of a small city-state that at the height of its power was one of the most riveting and resilient city-states of its time. The Old Town's compelling cobbled streets, where I made my first steps, jovial town squares, where my sister and I used to play as children, will lead us through time to hearing amazing and unexpected stories about the most delightful events and characters from the old Republic Ragusa times whereas the local and personal stories that I will share with you will bring closer to you this amazing story of a small, successful, advanced and independent Republic. - Ploce Gate (meeting location) - Panoramic stop + view of the town's harbor (views of the city walls and Lokrum Island) - Dominican Church - Luza Square (Spozna Palace and St. Blaise Church) - Rectors Palace - the Cathedral - Green market - Jesuit Square - Onofrio's Fountain - Stradun (main street) - The tour will start at our meeting location (Ploce Gate) from where we will enter the city walls. - Our first stop is a panoramic stop overlooking the town's harbor, city walls and Lokrum island. - We will continue our walking part of the tour by passing the Dominican Monastery and stopping at Luza Square with views of Spozna Palace and St. Blaise church. - Before being immersed with the local experience by visiting the greenmarket and Jesuit Square, we will visit the Cathedral and Rector's Palace. - Lastly, Onofrio's Fountain and a leisure walk down the town's main street Stradun will mark the ending of this charming Dubrovnik Old Town Tour.
