Visit one of the largest fish markets in the world and experience making sushi
In this half-day tour, we will walk around a bustling market in the morning and experience one of Japan's most famous gourmet foods - making sushi at a long-established sushi restaurant in Tsukiji.
Around 9 o'clock, we will start our tour at the inner market in which there are about 1, 000 intermediate wholesalers' shops and then walk around the outer market.
After strolling, we will have a sushi cooking class given by a sushi master, a professional chef of a famous sushi restaurant in Tsukiji. Two types of sushi are ready to make; (1)nigirizushi - a slice of raw fish on a small oval-shaped ball of cooked rice (2)makizushi(sushi rolls) - sushi rice and ingredients wrapped with dried seaweed. The very fresh ingredients and the chef's craftsmanship will give us great satisfaction. We will enjoy eating sushi we made for our lunch.
=The market is closed on Sundays and some Wednesdays.
=Sushi-making is not available on Wednesdays, Sundays, some Saturdays and December 15 - January 10.
Starting at 9:00 from our meeting place, we stroll Tsukiji Fish Market and the outer market for about one and half hours. Then, we visit a popular sushi restaurant in Tsukiji to have a sushi-making class. We eat the sushi we made for our lunch. The tour ends at 13:00.
A sushi-making lesson costs 8, 000JPY per person.
