My name is Lene, I'm 59 years old and born in Oslo. I'm educated as an engineer with a degree within economics, and got my diploma as an Authorized Oslo Guide in the year 2000. I have worked with tourists for 26 years now, and my favorite tours are the customized ones. I love to show my city and the sorrundings from all different angles - through history and storytelling, foodtasting, museums and streetart, crime- and ghostwalks, and everything that has to do with nature (walks, hikes and bicycle tours). I'm passionate about my work, and love getting in contact with people from all over the world. I like to tell the history in my way, sharing personal stories from my own life and my parents / grandparents life (I'm the 3.generation from Oslo). Funny or horrible stories are also a part of it, so that you maybe remember something when you come home... :) In Norway you need a professional driver license to drive guests for payment. My tours are either by public transportation, by foot or bike, or we can hire a car with a driver.

Join me on a very Norwegian tradition; walking off-piste in the nature! This is the best place for taking pictures of Oslo and the fiord, because of the closeness (you see the details), but still enough distance for a great view. We'll meet in the city center and take public transport to our starting point. It's a nice tour by tram, that takes approx 10min from the Central station. The rest of the time we'll spend together in the Ekeberg-park - the newest sculpturepark in Oslo - opened in September 2013. Hear the fascinating story behind, and discover the different installations and pieces of art popping up along our way through the forest. After finishing the tour we'll return by tram, or you're welcome to stay longer, if you want. It's nice to enjoy a coffee or a typical Norwegian snack/meal in the cafe, or at the Ekeberg restaurant, with the most fantastic sunset in our city.
* Starting and ending point in the city * Use public transportation (the tram) together with the locals * Experience a fresh and healthy walk in the nature - a very authentic activity in our city * Be surprised by sculptures and modern art installations popping up in between the trees * Learn about the history behind the park and the art * Enjoy the spectacular view of Oslo, the islands and the fiord * Try the coffee, a "bolle" (typical Norwegian snack) or fishsoup in the beautiful Ekerberg restaurant before the return
