There is no better way to get up close and personal with London's famous landmarks than an iconic London Black Cab (taking a ride in one can be considered an attraction in itself) - and on my Tours, Day Excursions and Transfers we shall have a Driver so that I can concentrate on the guiding and any of your specific questions or requests without having to be concerned about traffic or parking issues.
Having both a Guide and a Driver will allow for more efficiency and time saving as we can be dropped off closer to buildings and monuments that I wish to present to you - and we can accommodate up to 6 travellers and our Taxi is also fully wheelchair accessible.
My main interests have always had the subject of history at the very top of my list - and because film, music and literature have always appealed to me I have included these topics in some of my speciality tours.
I am a London Taxi Driver, having passed 'The Knowledge of London' in 1987 - and London's Black Cabs have a unique and distinctive appearance, as well as a long and proud history, and are one of the most recognisable symbols on the streets of our capital City.
London Taxi Drivers are almost as famous as the Black Cabs that they drive, due to their having gone through stringent training, 'The Knowledge' is a test, which is among the hardest to pass in the world, and has often been described as 'having an atlas of London imprinted in your brain' - it is the equivalent of a University degree.
London Black Cabs can glide you through those narrow medieval streets where the tour buses cannot pass and can also use the Capital's bus lanes thus avoiding traffic jams.
I am one of the very small group of cabbies who have also become a London Taxi Tour Guide (accredited by the City University) and I am also a qualified 'City of London Guide', and a qualified 'City of Westminster Guide'.
In 2017 I was proud to be shortlisted for the 'Luxury Travel Guide of the Year' award and in recent years have featured on the Travel Channel.
I make sightseeing informative, interesting, fun and entertaining for first time visitors or regular tourists and family groups - not just because of London's history and culture, but also specifically for those who are fans of the British Royal Family, Harry Potter, Downton Abbey, James Bond and the Beatles for example.
We can also venture a little further afield because it would be fun to show you around some treasures just outside of London such as Hampton Court Palace, Runnymede Magna Carta and we can even take scenic River Thames cruise to Windsor Castle and Eton.
Please contact me without any hesitation for any question, and allow me to put together a customised Tour or Day Excursion together for you if any preferred options are not listed or you would like to reserve a Layover or Shore Excursion to further explore the English Countryside.
Please also let me know in advance if you would like me to fast track your tickets for any visits so that you can 'skip the line', book your dining reservations, or would like me to organise an English Afternoon Tea.
Should you be a large travelling group I also have experienced third party contacts enabling me to arrange luxury coach travel and even River Thames lunch cruises.
My tour rates will remain unchanged in 2018 for the third consecutive year - I work to a standard and not a price.
For the greatest ride, with the most knowledgeable Guide - always use London's famous Black Cabs!
A Recent Review of this guide
An absolutely brilliant day with Rob our guide and, Brian our driver. We only had the weekend to explore London and are beyond thrilled with the amazing storytelling and navigation today! Rob is incredibly knowledgeable and knows London like the back of his hand after 30 plus years of black cab service. We were treated not only to the "must-sees" but also some fabulous insider-only tidbits. Highly, HIGHLY recommend this tour. Thank you Rob and Brian for a great day! We'll certainly see you both again.
