See two magnificent royal residences
Overview of your London tour
Windsor Castle dates back almost a thousand years to the late 11th century when William the Conqueror was on the throne. Since then the castle has been added to by many monarchs and is now a magnificent royal residence. This part of the day is self guided with an official Windsor Castle audio guide narrated by King Charles. Windsor was the favorite residence of Queen Elizabeth. Here you can visit some of the state apartments and Queen Marys dolls house that was completed in 1924. This is not like any other dolls house as this one actually has working electric lights and full working plumbing. Also visit St Georges Chapel, where Harry and Megan were married. Then we visit Hampton Court where I will give you a guided tour of this great palace that dates back to 1515. Here you will see the best preserved Tudor hall in the country along with the great kitchens and the chapel. We will also tour the new part of the palace built for William & Mary by Sir Christopher Wren. The gardens here are also not to be missed
Your London tour itinerary
• We leave London and head west to Windsor Castle. • At Windsor you will have an audio guide of the castle and grounds. • Lunch can either be taken in Windsor or on route to Hampton Court Palace. • At Hampton Court you will have a guided tour of the Palaces of Henry VIII and William III. • Time permitting visit the wonderful gardens at Hampton Court. • Return to London.
