The Wonders of Eltham Palace, London

When you have seen the classics and fancy something different consider a trip to Eltham Palace, sited conveniently just outside London in the leafy borough of Greenwich. It is fair to say that amongst Palaces Eltham is special. A delightful combination of medieval meets Art Deco style. Since its inception in the 14th Century, Eltham Palace has enjoyed many incarnations, and seen its fair share of important personages; as a royal nursery one of its most famous occupants was Henry VIII (long before he acquired his six wives). Sadly, overtime it fell out of favour and into disrepair, Luckily, in the early 20th Century a fabulously wealthy philanthropist and his glamorous wife rescued it and restored it in their own unique style giving us the building we see today.
