Hello and welcome to London. I have been guiding in the UK, London and Europe for 10 years and I love my job. I pride myself on a passion for history and above all, the animation of its stories and a bespoke, immersive experience that makes a tour truly memorable. I try to make my tours experiences. I like to walk inside ruins, enter places not often visited or take to the top of Londons buildings for unrivalled views of London. I like to show my guests the secret London, the local London, the unusual facts of our famous landmarks and the best parts of this small green island I call my home. From traditional pubs to local markets, from the big sights to the most photogenic areas of the city I aim to avoid the crowds and get you to the best spots and to witness all the city has to offer. From London in a day to Stonehenge and the countryside, I pride myself in getting as much as possible into your valuable time at a pace that suits you. No matter which guide you choose, I wish you an enjoyable time in this great city. A city of a thousand faces of history. London was originally called Londinium, the square mile as it is known today was sculpted into the city by generations of successive invaders, each in turn becoming part of the fabric of this great city. The old city eventually merged with the newer city of Westminster to become the Capital as we know it today. On this tour we will wander through great fires, plague and the blitz, through lanes and streets that have survived since Roman times. We will visit ancient churches rebuilt over successive generations, Roman amphitheatres, it's great bridges and Londons hidden secret views. For anyone with a love of Roman History or the ancient past this tour is really the foundation of London as we know it today. It is one of my favourite tours as it involves going underground in some places to view the old Roman city, entering medieval churches, and walking the footsteps of our ancestors while uncovering parts of London more than 2000 years old.
On our journey from Roman city to British Empire we will visit. . . The Monument to the Great Fire of London The Medieval Guild Hall of London, London's Roman Amphitheatre, Parts of old London Bridge St Bartholomew's Church and its Norman architecture Parts of Londons Old Wall Some of Londons skyscrapers including a view from the top of one. Leaden hall Market The Royal Exchange The Bank of England Medieval alleyways of the old city and many more. The Tour is Walking and we will not be entering all of the buildings depending on current restrictions. We will be covering the Old Square Mile of the City so all of the locations are very close to each other and within 3 minutes walking distance from each other. This tour as a whole or partially, can be customized to fit your preferences - please inquire!
