Hi, I'm Steve and I would love to show you the sights and sites of London! I'm qualified to guide in all areas of Westminster and the City of London. I believe I have developed some exciting, absorbing and fun walking tours that you will really enjoy. I've worked and walked in London on and off for over 30 years and I'm just as passionate about the city now as I was when I started exploring all those years ago. I love meeting new people from all over the world and helping to make their time in London really memorable. My walks cover seeing the famous highlights such as Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral and Trafalgar Square but also explore areas such as the Theatreland, Covent Garden and Soho. I love showing people some of the more quirky things hidden on the streets and I 'm happy to customise my walks if you have particular interests. I also have a pub walk which features a stroll along the majestic River Thames, some of the best views in London and visits to pubs to sample their wares. My interests are sport, science and food and drink so I love to use these as themes for walks. For example, I have guided groups of school students telling them stories of the many famous scientists who have lived in London and their discoveries. Hopefully this will have given them an enthusiasm for science and an understanding of the subject outside the classroom. I am happy to put together tailored itineraries for half or full day tours in most parts of London - please let me know what you are interested to see or which areas you would like to explore. I love having children in my groups and can usually find plenty of things to interest them. My walks are also suitable for wheelchair users. Member of the Institute of Tourist Guiding and qualified green badge guide for the City of London. Qualified City of Westminster guide. Member of the City of Westminster Guide Lecturers Association. Member of the City of London Guide Lecturers Association. I am not a driver guide My qualifications do not allow me to guide inside Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral or the Tower of London

An exciting walking tour of London's entertainment districts. Explore suave and salacious Soho - once the red light area but now an area teeming with clubs, bars and restaurants - hear about many of the rock stars who have lived and recorded here. Next is a stroll through the heart of Theatreland - home to 39 theatres; fashionable Carnaby Street and a mural telling the story of Soho; next a stop in Piccadilly Circus and then Chinatown and Leicester Square, where the red carpet is rolled out for many film premieres. We then work our way (via a lane straight out of Harry Potter) to Covent Garden. Once the site of London's fruit and veg market it is now an area bursting with interesting shops and pubs and bars (we can of course stop to visit one if you like!). We finish by visiting the public areas of the Royal Opera House where you will have an amazing view and the opportunity to purchase a drink to celebrate your discoveries.
- Marvel at the futuristic Outernet Building and explore Denmark Street and learn of its many rock'n'roll links - Soho Square is next - almost every building on the square has a story to tell! - Discover some of the gems on the streets of Soho - a recording studio used by David Bowie and Queen, a building where Karl Marx used to live and the site where television was first demonstrated - Next an iconic cafe before we see the famous Ronnie Scott's jazz club and visit a popular gay area - A coffee bar with historic musical inks is next before we learn about the seedier side of Soho and visit trendy Carnaby Street and a mural telling the Soho story - The 'Eros' statue in Piccadilly Square then experience the buzz of Chinatown - Visit Leicester Square, the site of many film premieres - Explore Covent Garden with its 'back to front' actors' church, street entertainers and attractive shops - Visit a breath taking part of the Royal Opera House before ending at its roof terrace bar with superb views of the area
