Rachel picked us up in her comfortable car and drove us to Rochester. She led us through the town and into the Cathedral where she provided interesting information about the Pilgrim Steps and arranged a visit into the crypt housing the Textus Roffensis, the only existing copy of the first code of English law. Rachel climbed with us to the top of the castle. After, we walked through High Street and had the opportunity to visit many of the places that influenced the writing of Charles Dickens. We enjoyed afternoon tea in a lovely shop before returning to our cruise ship.
