Hi, I'm Jamie. I was born in London at an early age and grew up the World's Greatest Capital City, in the area known as Bermondsey and I can be considered a true "Cockney" Londoner. As a youngster I worked on a market stall selling fruit and vegetables, so I suppose I was a "Cockney Barrow Boy". I spent a lot of my childhood in the beautiful Garden of England, Kent, an area that is rich in history complimented by stunning countryside. I moved into the heart of Kent about 8 years ago where I now reside. After leaving school I trained as an Audio-Visual Technician which sparked my interest in Photography, Videography and Audio which has led me into the World of Podcasts and YouTube, hosting my own podcast for the past 13 years and now having my own YouTube channel. From the first visit to Hampton Court Palace on a school trip, I was hooked on history and developed a passion for researching and learning about the events and places that interest me and shaped the England that we know today. I studied the "knowledge of London" to become a London Taxi Driver and gained my badge and license in 1991 which re-energised my interest in London and England's history which led me on to delivering tours for guests and qualifying as a London Taxi Tour Guide in 1999. I have continued to study and learn the history of various places and cities around the south of England and continue to learn to this day, I consider every day to be a school day and strive to learn something new each day. The tours that I offer are unique, I like my tours to be fun, informative and relaxed with plenty of opportunities for photo stops. I really enjoy showcasing the places that I guide to the guests on my tours. I love telling stories and anecdotes about the places we visit. And am always looking for new and exciting places and attractions that I can showcase to guests. I am also more than happy to collect you from any Airport or Seaport for your transfer to where you are staying and deliver you back to any airport or seaport or another city where you may be continuing your vacation. I am an active member of the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage drivers currently serving on various committee's and participate in the Children's Magical Taxi Tour to Disneyland Paris with around 100 taxi drivers, the police, ambulance, and paramedics along with support staff. Giving children with severe medical conditions and life-threatening illnesses a once in a lifetime trip, my first trip being in 2000. Our carriage is my brand-new Electric London Taxi with glass panoramic roof, seating for 6 passengers, fully air-conditioned, free WiFi and USB ports for charging your phones and devices free complimentary water and snacks.
