Hi, I'm Jamie — a born-and-bred Londoner, raised in Bermondsey and proud to call myself a true Cockney. As a kid I worked the market stalls selling fruit and veg — a proper Cockney Barrow Boy. I spent much of my childhood in Kent, the beautiful Garden of England, and fell so deeply in love with the place that I moved there about eight years ago and haven't looked back. After school I trained as an Audio-Visual Technician, which sparked a lifelong passion for photography, videography, and audio production. That curiosity eventually led me to host my own podcast for over 13 years and launch my own YouTube channel. My love of history was ignited on a school trip to Hampton Court Palace and has never gone out. I passed the legendary Knowledge of London in 1991 and have been a licensed Black Cab driver ever since. In 1999 I qualified as an accredited London Taxi Tour Guide, and I've spent every year since deepening my knowledge of London, Kent, and the wider south of England. Since 2000 I've proudly participated in the Children's Magical Taxi Tour to Disneyland Paris — a convoy of around 100 taxi drivers, police, paramedics, and support staff giving children with serious and life-threatening illnesses the trip of a lifetime. I also have a personality — which, I'm told, helps.
