Visiting a new City can be daunting, you want to tick all the boxes to ensure you haven't missed any highlights - but is there more? For me, I couldn't work as a Tour Guide in London without wanting to know the whys and the wherefores! And I love sharing that knowledge and enthusiasm with visitors. I was born at the foot of London Bridge, and brought up within the shadows of The Tower of London, so I have an affinity to the City, and have learnt more than you would ever need to know about it on one of my tours. I have just reached 30 years as a London Taxi Driver, of which the extensive four years training give a fantastic background to London's historical, architectural and topographical layout. My Tour Guide journey started 12 years ago, when I completed the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers Taxi Tour Guide Course - I'm proud to say I am now the Head Tutor of the Course. After being bitten by the London History bug, I quickly followed this up by completing the University of Westminster's Clerkenwell and Islington Tour Guide Course, passing with Merit. Further interests, which I would be happy to share or discuss with you, include Rugby (playing and refereeing), Cricket, Football, Fishing, Camping and Hiking. My continued love of London and British history has enabled me to successfully lead driven and walking tours of all regions of Central London, Oxford, Cambridge, Canterbury, Bath, Stonehenge, Salisbury Cathedral, Hampton Court Palace, Leeds Castle, Dover Castle and Hever Castle. I look forward to hearing from you, in order to arrange your tailor-made or set tours, from London, your Cruise Terminal or Airport. Clerkenwell and Islington Tour Guide Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers Taxi Tour Guide Licensed London Taxi Driver I am not a Blue Badge Guide, so although I can accompany you in Windsor Castle, The Tower of London, Westminster Abbey and St Paul's Cathedral, I am not permitted to guide in them.

No visit to London is complete without a walk around the UK Capital's real, historic epicentre. The Pool of London is where modern Britain really began - from our first Roman settlers, to Viking invaders and Norman conquerors. London exists because of the River Thames, and this walk will circle the heart of our commercial centre, taking in London Bridge, Tower Bridge, The Tower of London, City Hall, HMS Belfast, Hays Wharf, Southwark Cathedral, Borough High Street, Borough Market and The Shard.
This 3 hour walk will include stops, talks and photo opportunities, taking in : The Monument; Magnus the Martyr Church; Billingsgate Market; Custom House; The Tower of London; Dead Man's Hole; Tower Bridge; City Hall; HMS Belfast; Hays Wharf; London Bridge; The Shard; Borough Market; Borough High Street; Finish at London Bridge Station.
