Hello and welcome to London! I'm British born and bred and have lived most of my life in and around London, with spells in the wonderful cities of Durham and Bath. Foreign languages were my first love and I loved living and working in France and Germany. Speaking foreign languages was my passport to the world and I've always enjoyed "getting under the skin" of the places I visit, chatting to locals, wandering off the beaten track and getting an idea of what it's like to live in a place, rather than just ticking off the "must see" tourist sights. I'm a qualified Blue Badge guide for London - that's our top guiding qualification requiring 18 months of intensive study and a rigorous set of exams. Career-wise I've had a lot of fun organising conference programmes at home and abroad and, as a languages teacher, I've organised lots of trips for teenagers in France, Germany, Spain and the UK. This has taught me a lot about what makes for a memorable day out . . . . and that a friendly, well-informed, flexible guide with a sense of fun makes all the difference. I would love to welcome you to London, my home town, and show you some of the places special to me, whether it's your first visit and you want to see the highlights or whether you're a return visitor keen to discover something new. I've suggested some of my favourite tours, but feel free to tell me what you'd like to do and I will build a programme around you, including the best cafés, the best photo opportunities, the best views and the best way of getting around! Get in touch! I look forward to hearing from you. London Blue Badge Guide Camden Tour Guide I don't have a car, but I can arrange for a separate car and driver. As a Blue Badge guide, I can give tours inside St Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, The Tower of London. Windsor Castle and Hampton Court Palace. I can also do day-trips by train or private car to the beautiful cities of Bath, Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon.

Let me show you London's legal quarter and see the enduring impact of Britain's public school and university system. We will walk through some of London's hidden squares and green spaces, just a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of Holborn and the former journalists' district Fleet Street, yet worlds away from the beaten tourist track. We will see the changing face of the UK's capital city, home to some 9 million Londoners, and find out about the famous people. . . and the destitute and homeless. . . who have lived here, from the 15th century to the present day. Beginning our walk through Lincoln's Inn Fields, we will visit three or four of the Inns of Court, see the 12th century Temple Church and the house which inspired 19th century author Charles Dickens to write "Bleak House". We will see the castle-like Royal Courts of Justice where the most serious civil cases are heard, visit the shops where barristers buy their wigs and explore cobbled alleyways. The tour can be tailored to your interests
