I have a great passion for the city and my joy is to share my knowledge of traditional London as well as the secret parts of the city in a light-hearted and friendly way. My training as a counsellor and drama therapist has given me the skills to engage with people of all ages and abilities and I am empathetic and flexible to people's needs. I am also a professional blue badge tourist guide. Only one day in London? I would love to have the opportunity to show you the main highlights in a day or half day together with some more offbeat areas. London has welcomed people from all over the world and I have a particular interest in the many diverse communities that have made their home here. I specialize in Jewish London (I have written a PhD and a book on the history of the area) and walks around the old Jewish East End and in the quiet moments when not guiding I am indulging in another passion -- going to all the latest theatre, films and exhibitions. - London Blue Badge Tourist Guide - City of Westminster Guide - City of London Guide I am not a driver guide. I will guide using public transport.

This tour will give an overview of the history of the Jewish immigration to Britain and will also give an insight into why this area was a centre of immigration for many different groups over the centuries. I have a particular passion for the area as my family settled here in the nineteenth century and I have gone on to research the area in detail. I have a doctorate in Jewish history and have written a book on the area. In recent years the area has been regenerated and it has become one of London's favourite and most vibrant areas. We will be walking through Spitalfields market with its vintage and antique clothing, fashion and other wondrous oddments. A tour that combines a rich history and a contemporary feel.

My wife and I toured Jewish London with Isabelle with a walking tour of Bank and East London. Isabelle is an expert on Jewish history of England having a PhD and written book on the subject. She is also very knowledgeable on England’s history. It was a pleasure spending the morning with her. She traced the history from the first Jews arriving after the Norman invasion to the present. I have an extensive background in Jewish history, but Isabelle easily added to it. We saw the areas that were originally settled, the synagogues that were built, and the ones no longer present were commemorated by the British government. Anyone interested in their heritage would benefit and enjoy this tour with Isabelle.
Isabelle was an excellent guide for my husband and me. We were very excited about seeing the Jewish East End and learning about the area and the Jewish migration to London. Isabelle was not only knowledgeable, she was also very warm and friendly. Her explanations were clear and she was easy to understand. I would heartily recommend her to anyone who would like to learn about the area and the topic.
Isabelle was an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide. We would highly recommend this tour.
Isabelle was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the subject matter and London. When one of us got sick and had to return to the hotel she got her in a taxi and got her back with minimal problems. She was accommodating for my husband who had a foot problem and made it where we could complete the tour I would recommend her and use her again. Thanks for a great day!
Isabelle is an absolute delight. Her deep knowledge of history, and contagious passion for the city of London kept us mesmerized by the stories. She kept my two teenagers, engaged and asking questions, which is near impossible to do this day and age when they have iPhones, I would highly recommend her as a tour guide.
