Hello I'm Joanna, Follow me in the footsteps of the millions who have called this fine city home through 2000 years of history. As a Londoner I love to share scandalous stories and fascinating facts with newcomers and lifelong residents alike. I'm an official city of London guide. Particular favourite topics for me are the City of London. Hampstead, Primrose Hill, Roman London and the Great Fire of London I have over 15 years experience with a wide variety of audiences including independent travellers and families. When I'm not guiding, I run a not for profit organisation Speak Street, where we introduce people to history through fun social learning. I'm a member of the Stationers' Company and love sharing the history of the London livery companies. I have the Freedom of the City of London which in entitles me to drive my Sheep over London Bridge free of charge, just one of the weird and wonderful London traditions you can discover during your visit. Whether you want to discover hidden parts of the city or pack in some of the classic highlights I'm happy to create a bespoke tour that works for you. After all that walking why not finish with pint down Dickens local pub or sip tea with the London elite. Whatever your looking for, allow me to be your Mary Poppins and make it happen.

Step into the heart of London, where every alley way and towering building whispers a tale of the past. The Old City offers an unforgettable journey through millennia of history, from ancient Roman ruins to soaring modern skyscrapers and medieval churches that still stand proud. The adventure includes the remains of Roman Londinium. We've even got a Roman Amphitheatre. You’ll be standing where ancient Londoners once cheered for spectacle, their echoes still lingering in the stones. Along the way, we’ll spot other modern skyscrapers, their futuristic designs contrasting with the graceful dome of St. Paul’s Cathedral, a baroque masterpiece. Hear stories of the Great Fire of London that decimated much of the city in 1666. Finally, we’ll wander through Leadenhall Market, a Victorian-covered market full of colour and life. You might know it better as Harry Potter's Diagon alley. Here, centuries of commerce come to life past and present blending into a vivid tapestry of London’s ever-evolving story.
