I am a friendly and experienced Blue Badge Guide. I own a V Class Mercedes and can take groups of up to four people. I am a Blue Badge Guide, and I have spent eighteen years working as a guide in London and England. I have a history degree, and an MA (London Studies). Overview of your London tour
This tour provides you with an opportunity to visit two stunning royal residences, a royal castle and royal palace. At Windsor Castle, our focus will be the royal family and the history of the monarchy. At Hampton Court we will focus on the reign of King Henry VIII, one of our most important and well known kings of England. Neither of these sites are very far from Central London, which means we can avoid having to spend too much time in the car.
Your London tour itinerary
9am - 10 am Drive to Windsor Castle, which is only twenty miles from Central London. 10am-12pm Visit Windsor Castle (Queen Mary's Doll House, The State Apartments, St George's Chapel) 12pm Have lunch in Windsor. We can also have lunch in Eton, if you are interested in seeing our most famous 'public school'. 130pm - 2pm Drive to Hampton Court Palace, via Runnymede (where the Magna Carta was signed by King John I, in June 1215) 2pm - 4pm Visit Hampton Court Palace (The Great Hall, Chapel, Kitchens, Gardens and Maze) 4pm - 5pm Drive back to Central London, which is only fifteen miles away.
