Downton Abbey Private day tour

Hi I'm Barry. Let me take you around my fantastic home town of London and/or a relaxing day out in the Beautiful English Countryside in my new Hybrid Black Taxi. I have over 7 years experience of being a licensed tour guide and 30 years of driving a London Taxi . . on the left hand side! I started life in Central London above my Grandparents Pub and then worked on London's Newsstands and the famous Fleet Street newspaper printing houses where my fascination and love for London and English history began. I attained excellent grades in school for History and Geography and learnt so much extra social history from both sets of GrandParents who remained in Central London during World War II and all lived into their 80s (what a lucky 🍀 chap I am) My bright , enthusiastic , affable and kind personality makes for fun informative tours. Whether it's Roman history or Royal gossip I will show you all I can and am very adept at bespoking a tour in line with your interests. I love seeing everything again through travellers eyes and try to ensure the best time, whilst really looking after you. I'm London based and know it like the back of my hand including hidden gems and alleyways! I also tour out of town to unbelievable Royal Palaces including Windsor, Hampton Court and Sandringham . Also touring Stonehenge Monument and education centre. Visit Great cathedrals ..Salisbury, Winchester, Canterbury and Wells. Or relax in the incomparable tranquility of The Cotswolds including Downton Abbey and Father Brown village locations and of course the beautiful city of Bath famous for Roman, Georgian and period drama film locations of Jane Austen, Agatha Christie , Bridgerton and Les Miserable. I have a special interest in visiting English pubs finding great food and ales during my research weekends with my lovely wife and grown up Children … which I obviously then share on my tours! I am also able to meet you at Southampton cruise terminal, Heathrow and Gatwick Airports.
