Hi there, and welcome. I hope you are looking forward to your visit to London. So many people call London home but like many of them, I was not actually born here. London always called to me growing up in the East Anglian countryside. At the turn of the millennium, I finally made the move. And I have never looked back! Working initially running a chain of bars in Soho, I was engrossed by the history of the city. The vibrant mix of people (both residents and tourists) and cultures have held my fascination for nearly 20 years now. I moved on from working in bars to become a chef. I worked in some of London's finest hotels, all the while reading up and exploring all London had to offer. With the arrival of my young family, I wanted more flexibility in my work life balance. I decided to take on one of my greatest challenges yet. I was to study 'The Knowledge' to become a Licensed London Taxi Driver. Learning so much to pass these exams whetted my appetite for more. I was soon studying again. This time to become a Green Badge London Taxi Guide with The Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers. People that have taken a tour with me comment on my enthusiasm, which I take as a great compliment.  I do admit that it is not hard as there is so much to love about London. I like to think that living and working in different areas in London for the last 20 years gives me an insight different from many other tour guides. It gives me great pleasure to be able to share my unique experiences with people visiting this great city. I also love to hear some of the stories my customers share with me. You never stop learning. Most recently I have taken myself back to the classroom to improve my amateur Photography. Whilst not professing to be David Bailey, we can always take the opportunity to capture some great snapshots of your trip to London. Why not join me for a drive around London? Licensed London Taxi Driver, having completed "The Knowledge of London" Qualified London Taxi Guide Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers Member of ASTA - American Society of Travel Advisors Member of London Historians Member of English Heritage Member of National Trust I am not a Blue Badge Guide so although I can accompany you inside the Tower of London, St. Paul's Cathedral and Westminster Abbey I cannot guide inside these historical monuments. Whilst my Taxi is limited to 6, please enquire for larger groups.

Overview of your London tour

Upon departing your hotel we will head towards Stonehenge, an UNESCO World Heritage site. The stone circle has been on this site for over 4, 500 years and is one of the wonders of the world and the best-known prehistoric monument in Europe. Once we depart Stonehenge we will return to the town of Windsor. Windsor Castle has been home to royalty for more than 900 years. It is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. Founded by William the Conqueror in the 11th century, it has since been the home of 40 monarchs. From the start of Covid The Queen used Windsor Castle as her primary residence. It has also become her final resting place. It is a working palace and will be used for every State Visit until the end of 2028. Upon departure from Windsor, we return to London, to your hotel or other agreed location. Please Note: St George's Chapel is closed on Sundays as it is used for worship.

We did a day tour with Alex from London to Stonehenge and Salisbury. He tailored our tour to meet our needs of going to Stonehenge and Salisbury. He picked us up on time and we had a great trip out of London where he gave information on sighs as we left the city. He was very knowledgeable, outgoing, and funny. We are a family with 2 teenagers and he was great with them. I would definitely book another with him.

This was the best tour of our 6-week vacation. Alex is well schooled in history. The tour was incredible because of his commentary, depth of knowledge and his attention to our needs. He was adept at avoiding and guiding us through crowds. I can't envision anyone better for visiting Windsor Castle and Stonehenge. Although the tour was scheduled for 8 1/2 hours, we spent nearly 11 hours with Alex and appreciated every minute. He was thoughtful enough to help us with a dinner reservation and dropped us there after the tour. We will most definitely use him on our next visit to London.

Wow Alex certainly knows his stuff. It was a 2 hour drive and we barely felt it because he kept us informed/entertained the whole way. He was able to keep us on time, which is no easy feat with 3 kids on board. Comfortable and new London cab and lots of water. So happy we did it and kids said they enjoyed it too.

What a fantastic day! The history, the air conditioning, and the fantastic conversation and knowledge, you won’t go wrong with this tour or tour guide. And honestly, we would choose Alex to see other attractions as well. His knowledge and humor made this so memorable!

We had an unforgettable excursion with our tour guide Alex today! He took us on a fantastic journey to Salisbury Cathedral and Stonehenge, sharing an impressive depth of knowledge about the history of London and the surrounding areas. His storytelling made the sites come alive, and his warm personality and sharp sense of humor made the entire experience even more enjoyable. When we ran into a hiccup with our lunch reservation, Alex didn’t miss a beat. He quickly found us a great alternative with immediate seating—and the food ended up being absolutely delicious. On top of everything, Alex was a skilled and confident driver, effortlessly navigating us through rush hour traffic with calm and ease. If you’re looking for a guide who is professional, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable, Alex is the one to book. Highly recommend him for all your UK excursion needs!
