Hi, I'm Ray! My tours offer a fun and relaxed style of bespoke and unique content. I am flexible to accommodate any of your interests and cultural insights. The best way to describe my tours is that I will "hold your hand" for the day, have unlimited photo opportunities and show you those unique and interesting places that only a London Taxi Driver will know. We will drive, walk, laugh and learn. My highest achievement is being a proud father of 4, following that I have been a licensed London Black Taxi Driver since completing the London knowledge in 1987. I studied the knowledge whilst working as a Printer in Fleet Street (home of London's newspaper industry) during the '80s. More recently in 2016, I qualified as a Taxi Guide with the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers, studying at the City of London Museum. I was made in London, and have remained a resident Londoner. I love to share my knowledge and passion for this beautiful city that I call home. I have so much to share with you - stories and sites from Roman remain to the current day. I have travelled extensively across the world touring South East Asia, China, Australia, South Pacific, East to West coast across North America, and Europe. As an extensive traveller myself, I feel that I can provide what tourists would be looking for in their experience visiting London. Licensed London Taxi Driver since 1987, license originally issued my the Metropolitan Police of London. Qualified Taxi Guide, issued by the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers.

Visit and explore the history of London's most famous landmarks in an iconic London black taxi. During this tour we will visit all of the Classic London sights such as Westminster Abbey, Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, St Pauls Cathedral, The Tower of London, as well as other places of cultural interest. All of the above highlights are known around the world. Every Tourist will be familiar with them, and will have the opportunity to see them, take the photos, explore the sights and learn their history. Please note this tour does not generally enter these sights, as regulations do not permit me to Guide within these buildings. Every tour is unique, and customised to each individual customer. The route of the tour will depend on pick up and drop off locations, customer interests and traffic conditions. Being a Taxi I can opt for different routes depending on circumstances of the day
I cannot possibly say enough about the tour that Raymond provided for us. His knowledge and expertise in the area is top-notch. We had a fabulous time on our tour and got to see things that we never thought we would ever be able to experience. Raymond left us wanting mower. We hope to get back to London soon and we will definitely be reaching out to him for another tour. He knew all of the ends and out of London and showed us things that we would never have gotten without him.
Raymond picked up three couples promptly at our hotel. Early in the tour, one of the couples had a medical incident. Ray took them right away to the nearest medical clinic. After ensuring they would be okay, the four of us continued on our tour. Ray has a wealth of knowledge which made our tour that much more outstanding. He could teach British History. Of all the tours and tour guides we have had, Ray is without a doubt the best. Would highly recommend him for this tour or any of his tours.
Our tour guide Ray was unbelievable. His knowledge of history and his in-depth descriptions of the sights was amazing. He knows the city so well and was able to show us all the important places of interest in a day. His driving was flawless and he knows in in's and outs of all the streets and the fastest way to get where we were going. I highly recommend him to all travelers. In addition his personality and sense of humor added to our experience. If you need a guide any place in the UK just call Ray!!!!!
We had a fantastic day with Ray. We had a group of 7 that ranged from 13-81 and got to see everything that we wanted plus more. The advantage that Ray has with the cab as far as parking goes makes the day so much easier. We could not fault Rays commentary and his knowledge was more than just a commentary he could answer just about any question the group asked him. Make sure to let Ray know anything special you want to see before the tour, he will fit it in. A highlight was the "Regency Cafe" for lunch.
What an amazing experience! Raymond was a joy to spend the day with. He is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, personable, and fun. We were able to make the day what we wanted it to be and got to hear amazing facts / stories along the way. I would HIGHLY recommend Raymond to anyone looking to experience the real London!
Ray was knowledgeable, saw what interests the kids had and took us to locations in London based on that. He made sure we got back to Southampton on time. We would definitely use him on our next trip to London!
