Hi, I'm Antony, a family man with a lovely wife, two grown up boys & two dogs. When I'm not working I enjoy spending time at home with them! "Maybe it's because I am a Londoner, that I love London Town". I have traced my family tree back to 1605 and they, like me, were all from London! Knowing my own history and the roots I have to this city, inspired me to become a licensed London taxi driver, which I have now been for 24 years. During my time as a cabbie I have gained vast knowledge of the iconic sights and streets in London, which I want to share with you. I had my first experience of being a Tour Guide around 10 years ago and instantly felt, 'this is what I'm meant to do', I loved it. Over the years I have perfected my tours to make them as bespoke and tailor made as possible for my guests. I will strive to ensure you have the best time possible on one of my tours! My thirst for history didn't stop at London though: I have since studied about various other places in Britain, such as Kent Castles and villages, Windsor, Bath and Stonehenge. The feedback I have had from guests on these tours has always been positive, referring to a highlight of their trip. A tour in my taxi means comfort and style. I am very proud to drive my guests around in an iconic black taxi which is top of the range, hybrid with a glass panoramic roof. It can accommodate up to 6 guests with 3 seats facing forwards and 3 seats facing backwards on flip down seats. I have a booster seat to use if we have any little ones with us. The cab is fully accessible for wheelchair users too, and fully air conditioned or heated as you can never be sure with the English weather! Being in a taxi also means we can navigate around London a little bit easier with the use of bus lanes and stop in the best places to get great photo opportunities. I am a welcoming and friendly tour guide with a USP of making your tour fun and entertaining. Come along with me and we will have a great adventure with lots of knowledge but also lots of laughter! Having only a limited amount of time to see the sights of London, I decided to look for a private guide for my wife, daughter and 87 year old mother. After reviewing our options, I settled on Antony L. Even though his reviews were stellar, the fact is, choosing any guide based on a biography and reviews, is kind of a crap shoot. I'm glad to say, this time, I HIT THE JACKPOT! If you're looking to learn all about London and it's history, buy a book. If like me, you'd rather spend an afternoon with guy who's equal parts guide, friend, political analyst and comedian, Antony's your guy. Antony is seriously proud of his craft, and his car (a spotlessly clean, traditionally styled (but modern), London cab). Drinks and snacks are provided. Prior to boarding, he spent some time getting to know us, and our hopes and desires for our time together. He wasn't interested in giving us a standard, canned tour of the city. He was only interested in offering an afternoon that seamlessly ticked every box on our wish list. My mother's not a strong walker so Antony made sure to get his car parked close to all the attractions we wanted to see. This may have been a challenge for some guides, but not Antony. This guy seems to know every guard and policeman and had no trouble leaving his car in spots (many illegal) most others would have been ticketed or towed. Even the other cab drivers and guides all appeared to know and like Antony. On one occasion, my mom decided to remain in the car while the rest of us shopped at a tea store. Antony parked the cab and joined her in the back seat to share what seemed to her, to be his life's story. She couldn't have been happier with all the personal attention. I can't imagine finding a better match for our family's time in London. We all agreed the money spent to secure Antony, although not cheap, was money very well spent!

The order of our route may change depending on the pick up location, but a standard itinerary would be the following -with loads more hidden gems in between stops- -First, we'd pass by Buckingham Palace, the headquarters of the Monarch of the United Kingdom. -We'd continue to St James Palace, headquarters of the Royal Court. -Next, if this tour were held on a Sunday, Monday, Wednesday or Friday, we'd be able to witness the Changing of the Guards ceremony. -Afterwards, we'd reach Westminster Abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. -We'd then pass by the Big Ben, arguably London's most iconic building. -Then it's on to St Paul's Cathedral, the seat of the Bishop of London. -We'd later see the Tower of London, which attracts millions of visitors every year, so you shouldn't miss it yourself! -Finally we'd reach the Tower Bridge, across the River Thames.
