My name says it all, or does it? My family originate from mid-Wales but in actual fact, I was brought in Portsmouth on the South Coast of England. When I left school I headed for the bright lights of the city and joined the Metropolitan Police with which I stayed until 2012 finishing my service as a Detective Inspector. Between 2011 and 2013 I trained qualified as a London Blue Badge Guide and so have been trained to guide the British Museum, St Paul's Cathedral and the National Gallery. As a Blue Badge Guide, I am one of the few guides authorised to guide in Westminster Abbey, Tower of London and Windsor Castle. I now seek out hidden corners and delight in the smiles on the faces of my new friends when we discover something new (I always headed down back alleys and side streets when on patrol and that habit stays with me). My tours are focused on London but I enjoy day trips out of the City and regularly travel out to Stonehenge, and Windsor. On a tour with me, you will see the main attractions but you will also see them from a slightly different perspective. Approaching from a back street or from a rooftop. Let's just see what we can do. My top tip - ALWAYS CHECK THAT YOUR GUIDE IS A QUALIFIED BADGEHOLDER AND IS QUALIFIED AND INSURED TO GUIDE YOU. Member of the Institute of Tourist Guides and qualified Blue Badge Guide for London and South West England membership of which includes Public Liability Insurance. Licensed by Transport for London to carry 6 passengers.

In our day in the Cotswolds, we will visit or pass through the market town of Burford, visit Stow on the Wold for an opportunity to shop and take photos and follow the traditional trading route know as the Fosse Way, passing through villages of Upper and Lower Slaughter, making photo stops as and when the opportunity arises. We will also be stepping off the beaten track to visit some of the lesser known but no less picturesque villages and sites. It will take us around 2 hours each way to drive to and from our first and last stops. During the day, we will be driving for no more than 20-25 minutes between stops. On the subject of breaks, we will be stopping for morning coffee, lunch and tea in the afternoon, (but could make it afternoon tea). The day is focused around you and your interests. I want to ensure you make the best of your time, so the day will be focused on your interests.
Based on Central London Departure • 08:00 - Depart Hotel or Apartment • 10:00 - Arrive at local farm for comfort break • 11:00 - Visit villages and market towns (Examples are Chipping Camden, Bibury and Bourton on the Water). but we will choose other villages depending on traffic and your interests (parts of the Cotswolds have been used as film locations) • 13:00 - (approx) Lunch at leisure • 15:30 - Tea Break • 16:30 - Depart area • 18:30 - Return to London (it may save you time to end at an outlying underground station).
