This was everything we could have hoped for in a private tour. Met us early at cruise terminal since ship arrived early. I recommend using whatsapp for easy communication. Started with beautiful private van and driver so that guide could give us full attention. My wife and I learned so much about Turkish customs, history and traditions. In addition to the scheduled stops, also stopped at a womens rug making co-op. The entire process of rugmaking and weaving was demonstrated, starting with the silk worms. Our english speeking guide made sure we stayed ahead of the hugh crowds in Ephasus to speed us through the check in line. Five cruise ships were in port that day. I would highly recommend this tour.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Ismail in Ephesus who adapted the tour to our requirements as we went along, even taking us to a local Turkish delight shop, at our request, so that we could purchase the “genuine” product to take home. We learned a great deal, not only historically about the fantastic place that is Ephesus, but also about the culture, the economy and how life is in general in Turkey. Despite the chaos at the port, he easily identified us and we were soon on our way. We felt very looked after and consider that this was an excellent day out. Just what we had wanted and expected.
