Kusadasi / Ephesus Full-day Private Tour

This tour was totally geared to what my group wanted to see. We first toured Mary's house and beat most of the Tour groups to there. We then went to Ephesus and had an informational tour that we all enjoyed. We only toured the lower part which was more than enough for my group. You can tour all if you wish. We then went to see some local pottery artisans at Lotus pottery which was really unique and interesting. We were able to pick and choose what we wanted to see and it was a great day.

We had a great day with Erkan near Ephesus. She is very personable and friendly with a good knowledge of the ruins of Ephesus. The vehicle and driver were great. This was a large multi-seat van that was comfortable and provided good viewing for guests. We also enjoyed a nice local lunch with her. She also took us to a location for handmade carpets and another for unique pottery

Erkan was amazing! Kind, intelligent, personable and funny. I traveled with my mother who has some mobility issues and was not feeling up to doing the whole Ephesus walk so Erkan on the fly set up a family visit with local artisans while we went to see the historic site. Mom said it was the highlight of her trip. This was our second time in kusadasi on a cruise, the first time we took a cruise excursion, The difference was night and day. I cannot recommend a better guide 5 stars all the way!

WOW, WOW, JUST WOW!! We would give Erkan 10 stars if possible, she is that wonderful; the best of the best!! Erkan took us to every major site like the House of Mary, Celsus Library facade, the Grand Amphitheater, and the Ephesus Experience Museum, which was fantastic. We saw Temples and an Ancient Turkish bath, among other sites too. She arranged a private tour of the local rug weaving school/factory where we learned how the silk is made for the rugs and the different techniques in the weaving of silk vs wool and how the gov't supports the training of the women weavers. We enjoyed a local lunch of homemade food and wine, then a private experience at a generation's family-owned pottery business; amazing talent to produce such one of kind artifacts, and these people were so friendly too. You will not be disappointed booking with the lovely Erkan; ENJOY!!!

Erkan made the day. We were on holiday in the area and booked a day tour as we wanted a mixture of ancient and modern and Erkan didn't disappoint. We were picked up from our hotel and had a really interesting tour of Ephasis with plenty of history and some amusing 'fun facts' thrown in. We then had a nice lunch at a local restaurant and a carpet weaving demonstration with a really funny and amusing guide to show us round. From there we went to the mountain village of Sirince, very touristy but well worth a visit. Full of 'Jingly jangly shops' Throughout Erkan made sure we had a great time and was very flexible to keep us informed and entertained. I can highly recommend her as a guide.

Erkan was a wonderful guide, one of the best we have ever had! She provided us with all the pre-information required, met us with no issues, supplied a perfect van and driver, and was well prepared for our day, including bringing along cat food for the start! (She is a real animal lover!) She was happy, very informative, with a good sense of humour and excellent English! I would recommend her to anyone wanting to have a perfect tour of Ephesus and the other marvels in the Kusadasi area.
